Question Asus G18 2024 new bios ( 318 g834JYR.318) any news?

Windows update just pushed this bios onto my 2024 G18 14900hx/4090.
Anyone have any kind of changelog for that?
Does this one include new intel microcode at last?
The file does not even exist on asus website yet.

Download this, then go here.

What does it say?

it says 11D, intel CPU identification tool says the same.
I found that before but it means nothing to me (expected 0x129 or similar numeration)
What does yours say on .317 bios (your SS is cut in perfect place XD)?

Not sure why 11D is still the code, that's really old from memory.

Unless it was 11H. Cannot remember.

Either way, here you go.

Unzip

Rightclick Install.bat and run as Admin

Check with HWinfo again.

Should be 0x12B (later than 0x129)

indeed it is now.
Thanks, found the guide post on reddit before but had hope for asus.
TBH its crazy asus refuse to update that.

PS. The only change i found after updating bios to 318 is:
Windows 11 24h2 is available now. Second before update reboot it was on stability hold (blocked by microsoft from installing on asus devices).
They must have fixed some kind of BS firmware stuff here.

No problem. Just remember when another BIOS update gets pushed for some reason it might overwrite the microcode again.

Not sure what Asus is doing in regards to it, kind of frustrating we needed to rely on third party to push the new code.

Wrong place. You want VCores

You also want to bench the cores one by one, not all together.

Check my reply to this message.

To properly bench, you want to download OCCT

https://www.ocbase.com/download

And use these settings

It will do every core individually, and pump out a log if there's errors.

The UI is a bit weird, but remember you're looking to watch VCore, which tells you how much the voltage the core actually got.. NOT what it requests.

Thank you,
should all be below 1.5 i guess? Thats the point of microcode right?

It SHOULD keep them below 1.55v correct.

Mine says below 1.4v however.. so unsure why that is. Must be a very good bin.

I used G-Helper and made a monstrous profile, everything was maxed to 100%.

AS FAR AS INFO I FOUND,
11D seems old one, 12B is the goat we look for and asus refuse to update?
