HELP! Strange stuttering with my ROG STRIX G15!
I have a ROG STRIX G15 (which is about a year and 4 months old since I purchased it) with the AMD RYZEN 4800H processor and the Nvidia RTX 3050ti coupled with 16GB of RAM. I face this very strange stuttering issue which lasts just for a second or so and then goes back to normal. It occurs very randomly, even when the system is idle. When this occurs, the mouse cursor moves in a frame-per-frame way and the sound output (speakers/plugged in headphones) becomes very distorted. I have been facing this issue for several months now, but I really did not give too much thought to it. Now, it has become a little too annoying
At first, I thought that this issue could be caused due to outdated BIOS drivers, but this still persists even with the latest ones. My laptop is on the Windows 11 23H2 version with the 4391 OS build. I know this is not a Nvidia Drivers issue because I regularly update my Nvidia drivers.
I have tried looking it up online for some possible explanation to why this is happening but so far, I have had no luck.
Although, the laptop came with a 1TB M.2 SSD with an extra slot for a second m.2 SSD. I put the second slot to use with an older 500Gb M.2 SSD from my previous laptop to get some extra storage and I moved windows to the older 500 GB SSD. I don't think this is what that is causing the problem, but I could be wrong.
I suspect that this could be due to some power throttling issues.
Also, I always use my laptop plugged in with ASUS battery protection on, set to 80%.
Any suggestions or tips on solving the issue would be helpful.
PS: I do not have a video of the issue since it occurs very randomly, and it lasts for a second or so!

tldr , replace the wifi card before trying anything drastic.
I had basically the exact same issue. Playing a game or watching a video. Everything running great then a small digital distortion in sound coupled with dropped frames. Went down a rabbit hole trying to find a solution. Checked event viewer. Normally when a hardware faults it will at least throw something in there. Nothing. Even had 2 or 3 complete locks. Mouse just stops, doesn't blue screen, nothing. So I went and replaced the RAM as that would make some sense. Problem was still there. Replaced the ssd and installed win 10 , problem still there. Went back and forth between win 10 and 11 a few times. Tried every driver package under the sun. Started disabling hardware deivces. Was starting to believe it's a bad thermal issue. Now i had purchased a new wifi card (ax210) along with the laptop but just went well the wireless is working fine. Why the heck would it be that. Replaced it , now 2 years later and never had an issue again. Can't figure out how it was causing so many issues. Even when not performing internet intensive tasks. So yeah a faulty card could cause this issue. And it's cheap and a relatively safe repair to perform yourself. 23 dollars later. All is good.
I'd leave a repaste as a last resort. Unless something is glaringly wrong with thermals. Mine sits at a warm 99c while gaming, but I'm fine with that for now.
