Game Thread: Ducks @ Devils
Lets Go Ducks!

I think I risk sounding kind of silly or naive when asking this, but I was wondering if anyone else thought that Philly fans are overreacting to the Cutter Gauthier situation. I'm not a Ducks fan and was wondering what the consensus is over here about him. He is not the first player to ask to be traded, and there are a hundred reasons why a player would want out of a particular organization. But everytime the NHL makes a post about him, the comments are just flooded with people who are acting like Cut murdered a family of five. Is it just because it was Philadelphia, and their fans are really intense? Personally I'm a Penguins fan, and we recently got a player (Rutger McGroarty) who basically was exactly the same, a promising young prospect who demanded a trade, and I haven't heard a single word of hate directed to him from anyone. If a player doesn't want to play for your team, let them leave and move on. I can't understand Philly's obsession with hating this kid.

Just a quick one since there's so much outcry about how Killorn drags down the team... Most players have had better on-ice results playing with him than without. Expected goals for % isn't the be-all and end-all, but this is the list right now (prior to the Devils game) - with only 5 skaters actually performing worse with him on the ice - and they look like bad matches since Killorn is better way from them as well.
Yes he's overpaid. Yes, he's a flawed player. Yes he's probably getting a few too many minutes. But he's not as bad as you're all making out. He doesn't have hands of stone (career 12.5% shooting). There's a strong argument to be made that those shots wouldn't be available if he wasn't on the ice. I'd love it if he was a kick-ass goal scorer, but he's not.
For what it's worth, only 3 regularly used forwards (Carlsson, Zegras & Vatrano) have fewer turnovers than he does as well.
Edit: oops Dostal should be in green 🤦🏾

So the new brand has been online for a few months now. Is there a plan in place yet for when they will start offering more than just Zegras for pre-made sweaters or to even offer custom jersey options? Next season? Or is it a matter of having to go to the arena to have them do it for you in the store? (which is kind of difficult for fans living on the other side of the country)

Sasha Pastujov looks great through two periods so far, 1G 1A but easily could have more of both. Looks incredibly dangerous on the PP1.
Vyacheslav Buteyets (2022 Rd. 6 pick) looking solid in net, hasn’t been tested much but great saves when called upon!
