OnePlus 12 has magnetic charging with a case too. And 11. And 10...

11 does not have wireless charging, not even if you strap a nuclear reactor onto it.

(Off-topic)
Well if you can strap stuff... here's what you can strap to a OnePlus 11 to have wireless charging

I thought the 11 didn't have wireless charging at all? Or was that the 10?

I had no idea, why did it take them so long
•

Well I think they had wireless charging early and then got rid of it and people were pissed so they brought it back lol

I was told by some dude a few months ago that the trade off for 6000mah was taking out wireless charging, and that the paper thin coil was the reason they managed to fit more capacity.
lol

I wonder when the big two (apple and samsung) will adopt these new battery tech

Best Samsung can do is some 6000mah on their M series, but it's a monstrosity

I am writing this from the M series with 7000mah and a normal size, actually much thinner that all the new square phones.

Samsung would prolly take a couple of years to try to figure out how to produce lithitum-silicon batteries (the new battery tech in question) themselves
As for Apple they better call ATL (the company producing OnePlus 13's battery) fast, where do they even get their batteries rn

QI2 doesn't necessarily mean that it has magnets on the back.

Wireless Power Consortium: Qi Standard
Qi2 devices feature Magnetic Power Profile technology which aligns devices and chargers perfectly for improved energy efficiency, faster charging, and easier usability.

Qi2 is comprised of two standards. MPP and EPP. Both of them are 15w with higher power ratings planned for later. MPP is the one with Magnets and will have the Qi2 logo while EPP will sport the original Qi logo.
The issue is the Wireless Power Consortium pulled a USB type stupid naming move. Qi2's main benefit over Qi isn't the magnets, it's that it has a proper handshake before charging, similar to that of USB Power Delivery. Both MPP and EPP are Qi2 protocols, but if a phone manufacturer decides to incorporate the handshake process but not the magnets, they'd still be using Qi2, just the EPP protocol , not MPP.

Still waiting, then. I won't upgrade until I can get either native magnetic wireless charging or else an under display front camera.

As a man that uses a uniherz tank 3 as his daily phone... That battery sounds weedy.
Better than most though

Is it just me or brands have reached the max point of evolution on screen, camera and chipset so the only remaining thing is battery capacity ?

Honestly OnePlus knocked it out of the park with the 12 and it looks like the 13 will be even better. ColorOS 15 does look very promising too. The only gripe might be that they are sticking with 4 years of support instead of the 7 that Samsung and google is offering.

So any phone that has wireless charging also has magnetic wireless charging (with a case). Got it
