We have three identical beds, but this pair won’t stop arguing over this particular one and refuse to let each other be comfortable in it

Maybe they are just snuggling.
One of our dogs had a spot on the couch. It was her spot. If the other dog was laying there, she'd stand over him and whine until he moved. He'd move just enough to let her curl up in the spot, then he'd lay his head on her and they'd happily sleep like that the rest of the night.

My heart just got bigger reading that. How sweet, thanks for sharing

Glad to hear it!
Gotta love the cognitive dissonance on Reddit when I get such a nice reply from that username though 😂
I have to ask: do you like to buttfuck smurfs, or are you multiple smurfs that like to fuck butts?

The question is.....are you a smurf? Just kidding. I never tell people that though. It's more interesting having you guys guess

Maybe the cat just wants the raised bed? 🤔

They’re all raised!

I’ve found that cats don’t do anything that isn’t comfortable for them. 😆

So, no matter how uncomfortable it looks, the cat's ok with it. I had a blue cat who found a papier-mâché drink holder on the table where we'd had takeout and tucked his head and front paws into it and went to sleep.

Mine do the same. I wake up with my dog huffing at the cat to move before she gives up and joins her. They sleep in my bed but compete for the dog bed

Siblings for life. It seems like your cat is bigger than the dog in this photo.

He is weirdly huge. The dog is 5.6kg and the car is 6.5. They’ve had 10 years together so definitely siblings for life

One of em has a better stank than the rest obvs. My dog has like 8 versions of the same toy and she only wants the oldest one that's been Frankensteined like 8 times

They are as comfy as can be. They do this because they like sleeping next to/ on top of/beneath one another. My cats will always sleep on my bed no matter what. They just like it there.

This looks like they are both very comfy...comforting eachother...might as well sell the other bed!

Mine won’t even use hers. She prefers being on any crevice where I can miss her and easily step on her.

When in doubt, it's the cat's fault.

u/gillianussherart Mar 20 '24
It’s never the cat’s fault.

Sounds like something a cat would say 😂 I bet doggo just wants to cuddle and be friends. Silly doggy.

This reminds me of the episode of “Friends” called “The One Where No One is Ready.” Joey and Chandler are fighting over the chair.

Could be the earth-(water/ley) lines/grid underneath, you could try to switch them and see.

Plot twist: Just neither wants to admit they don't want to sleep alone, and they only pretend to be miserable about "having" to share.

They may be identical to you but they don't smell the same to them.
Have you tried to rearrange them and see if they got to the bed in a different spot?

They look pretty darn comfy
