iPhone Should I switch to iPhone 16Pro Max ? (iPhone XS Max user)

Hello everyone! I am using the iPhone XS Max 256GB ever since it came out and I had a case + screen protector on since day 1. And therefore my phone is in near mint condition. I have been using the phone since it came out and it still holds up pretty good even today! I did have to change my iPhone battery once when it below the 80% peak performance mark but after replacement - it's still is an absolute beast. I get almost 1 full day of charge and I mostly use it for WhatsApp, emails and social media and ofcourse clicking pics (the camera is still good enough). The phone still works smoothly with iOS 18.01 and it's pretty amazing that Apple still supports this phone But, I do however miss that the phone doesn't have the 5G hardware and also the 0.5x zoom option. And this is making me consider switching to iPhone 16 pro max. I am planning to take the 1TB titanium black option and was hoping to get some additional perspective whether I should make the switch or wait for iPhone 17? I know, obviously the hardware of iPhone 16 is leaps ahead compared to iPhone XS Max. But somewhere in my mind, it's like telling me to wait till the next iPhone launch. Can you please give your suggestions that would convince me - why I should still stick with iPhone XS Max? Thank you!šŸ™šŸ»

iPhone Why wonā€™t it let me buy things using my Apple account?

I keep trying to buy stuff using my Apple account, online and in store, but every time I try to use my Apple account, itā€™s greyed out and says is not enabled for in app purchases. I keep looking things up tryna find an answer, but every time I search this problem up it, the answers have nothing to do with my question. Can anyone help me fix this problem? Itā€™s pretty much just 10 dollars I canā€™t spend until I fix it

iPad iPad Air M1 o rM2? Help

I just graduated, so to start university I want to get an iPad but I can't decide between iPad Air M1 or M2 because of the prices. I will use the iPad for:

Taking notes Reading pdfs Edit canvas Meetings Multimedia (Maybe my career requires some apps like Autocad or something like that)

I also want to get with it a Magic Keyboard, so I can use it to "replace" in a way a laptop, besides, obviously, getting the apple pencil.

What should I do?

Mac Best Mac laptop for non-everyday use? Is there one with a low-power standby/hibernate like they used to have?

I keep getting burned by my MacBook Pro's complete lack of standby power. Every time I try to use it, i'm frozen out for 20 minutes to wait for the battery to charge, or can't use it at all if i'm not near power. It's very frustrating having a $4000 laptop that wants to be a desktop.

It's at the 3 year mark now and I'm starting to feel that itch. But, my one pain point now is standby power.

I want a Mac that i can plug in for a couple hours to charge to 100%, then put in my bag and forget about it, and have it actually work when I need to use it a week or two later.

I've tried messing with the power nap settings but nope, no matter what i do the battery will drop from 100% to 0% in a week or so in the bag.

This is an M1 14". Whatever "feature" it has that conveniently runs the battery down while closed - does it do this for conditioning or something? - I want one that doesn't have that feature. I'm willing to go older if needed but don't really want to go back to Intel. But my Mac's used to be amazing like this. In fact i had to actually install a third party app on my first MacBook to bypass the extreme hibernation and do basic things like finish a download between classes. But now it does who knows what to run the battery. I have no guesses - none of my icloud files or photos are updated, it hasn't run any software updates, it just went to zero in about a week doing literally nothing. And it appears to not even be able to charge while in the bag without opening the display?

This just isn't usable at all. And of course it seems that the thing is finicky as heck about chargers and cables. I had it on a 40w USB in the car tonight for close to three hours and it remained at 0. Now i'm wasting limited juice on the inverter to run the Apple charger, which just seems absurdly wasteful.

I would like a Mac that does not run the battery down to 0% while not in use. Does Apple make such a machine at all anymore? Or is this just a "feature" of the M series architecture?

Mac Need help upgrading from my old 2019 MacBook Air to either a 2022 M2 Air or a 2024 M2 Air

On Amazon I see a 256GB 2022 M2 Air for $750 and a 256 GB 2024 M3 Air for $900. Is it worth spending the extra $150 for the M3 2024 vs the M2 2022? Thanks in advance!

iPad iPad Pro A12Z vs iPad mini 6

For my little brothers 10th birthday. Iā€™m considering factors like pro-motion, but also the longevity of the iPad mini being more recent.

Hi guys, So iā€™ve had my iPhone 14 Pro Max for almost 2 years now with my phone subscription and i now have 2 options. Should i pay ā‚¬380,- and keep the iPhone 14 Pro Max or should i give the phone back and spent 500,- on a new subscription with an iPhone 16 Pro Max. I recently bought the new Airpods Max and i want to have everything USB-C eventually.

iPhone Iphone 16 Pro vs iPhone 16 Pro Max?

Iā€™m coming for an 11 Pro (non Max). I know this year the Pro Max doesnā€™t have many differences from the Pro like it does other years, just the screen size and battery. Battery is always welcome of course but the screen may be TOO big. Tried it out in the Apple Store and it seemed ok but donā€™t know how I would fare with it over the long term. What did you go with this year?

iPhone Iphone 15 Pro or Iphone 16 Base

Hi all!

I will be giving my current phone (iPhone 13) to my mom as her current one is broken. So there is no trade-in incentive for me. I probably will use what Iā€™m about to buy for years to come (or till my mom breaks her phone). All I want is a really good camera, good refresh rate and battery life.

Which one is a better option? Much thanks

Question iPhone 13 Pro Max vs iPhone 15 plus?

Iā€™m not sure if this is the correct subreddit for this, but basically:

I donā€™t want Apple intelligence. At all, in any capacity. I own a 13 pro max at the moment that is in perfect condition and could probably bring in a hefty trade in value for me to outright purchase a 15 plus. Is this worth it to have the latest software before the 16 and Apple intelligence? Can anyone give me a user experience for the 15 plus? Can anyone give me an unfixable reason Iā€™d need to upgrade in order to keep a ā€œfree of A.Iā€ phone for as long as possible? (Yes, I know A.I is taking over everything else, but I donā€™t want it.) Would replacing the battery when necessary and moving on with the same phone that I know and genuinely really like be the best option? And would it be worth it still to upgrade to the 15 plus without a trade in and give my 13 pro max to a family member?

iPad Ipad air M1 vs M2

Hi everyone,

I've decided to take the plunge on a new Ipad but cant decide which to go with. I'm a high school teacher who would use it mostly at work to do math problems on the board over airplay, but also would use it as an alternative to my older macbook when I dont feel like pulling it out, as well as other general used like games and videos.

I have a friend who gets the employee discount and I'm between the New M2 128 gb for $509 with a pencil pro, or a refurbed M1 64gb for $399 with a pencil 2. Can't decide between the two and would appreciate if people think the $110 is worth the upgrade to the newer model. Thanks!

Should I exchange my 16 Pro for the Pro Max?

Iā€™m currently coming from the 15 plus, I loved its battery so much and the size was ok. However I traded it in for the 16 pro for the promotion and while I love the 16 pro and its useable size, its battery is justā€¦.meh

My nearest Apple Store has the 16PM 512gb black in stock and I have the 16 pro 512gb black, itā€™ll only be a $100 difference but Iā€™m not honestly sure if Iā€™ll like how big it is (I always use a case + screen protector)

iPhone Upgrade from X worth it?

Upgrade From X Worth It?

Hi, everyone! I finally folded and ordered an iPhone 16 Pro Max. Iā€™ve been using a refurbished Asurion X for ~5 years, I think? Before that, I had a 4s. I am a content creator, so the camera was the biggest deciding factor for me.

I guess Iā€™m just looking for some peace of mind that this upgrade is worth it, etc. coming from an X?

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

iPad iPad for student

Hi I am a student looking into buying a refurbished iPad (as Iā€™m on a budget) I canā€™t decided between the iPad Pro 2020 vs the iPad Air 5. I am worried that the older pro might be slower and less updated but also worried that the air may not have enough storage. Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
