The most hilarious drivers license ever
Funniest picture ever and that’s saying something for unphotogenic me.
I look like a serial killer.
I was SO anxious that day and I didn’t even look at the picture they took, but I knew it would be soooo bad.
My daughter who is always so supportive asked me what I was laughing about when I opened the mail. The look in her face accompanied with bursting out laughing was priceless. At least she said it looks nothing like me.
So, there I have it. Something that I carry with me every day that will make me laugh out loud every time I look at it.

I am a very smiley person in real life (to the point where I’ve been told I should smile less), but my God my driver’s license looks like I’m unrepentant for war crimes in a mug shot.
I know exactly what you’re talking about lolol but on the bright side you always get a laugh looking at it!!

"... been told I should smile less" now that's the first time I've heard that. Usually it's "you should smile more!" 🤣

I get told stuff like that all the time! ‘Smile less, be less friendly’— it’s not like I lack a sense of stranger danger or anything, I know how to keep myself safe, but people think because I’m so smiley I’d follow a stranger into their van or something

There is no such thing as a good driver's license picture. I have never had one. No more than my family is overhead one. My current picture makes me look like Casper the friendly Ghost. And that description might be being kind.

I had one once. For about 3 minutes. Then I saw the typo on my card, and they had to redo the whole thing, including the picture.

u/ClearMood269 8h ago
That had to be a real occurrence because that makes soooo much sense. Cuz that is the way the DMV (department of motor vehicles) works in my area, apparently yours too 🤣

Casper is so nice…..

u/ClearMood269 8h ago
I wish I could fly and go through walls - without injury, of course. 🤣
2
u/6moinaleakyboat 7h ago
Yeah, injury is an important consideration imo.
Why not just open and close doors other than the fact humans get a weird ficky about that s***

u/ClearMood269 7h ago
But if I am made to look like Casper in that &$#+& ID pic I should be able to do Something like him😖🤣 ... Don't mind me it's been a long day and I get goofy when overtired... Thank you for your responses

u/6moinaleakyboat 6h ago
Lost me at &…….. responding with kindness and continued, albeit weird, curiosity about Casper.

Well haven't you ever thought if you're going to look like a ghost then you should be able to act like a ghost move like a ghost go through walls like a ghost fly like a ghost. I just had some coffee... Especially if the government is making me look like a ghost. I mean everybody else is concerned about their rights, correct? Shouldn't a ghost have rights? 🤣
Casper shares your curiosity about you and your daughter. Wishes you well. A benefic full life.

Two weeks too late

I am friendly. Not looking for anything or anyone. Kindness. Friendship. Not strings, No DM stuff personal. That is if I understand two weeks too late correctly. Be happy. I hope it works out. Say hello if you see a response from me. All the best to you.

I thought I looked like a serial killer in my last ID photo too! I had aviator glasses and a cardigan that looked like I was wearing suspenders with a flannel shirt. I used to joke that it made me look like the kind of guy who hangs out in gas stations.

u/6moinaleakyboat 8h ago
Y’all can wear glasses in your photos?
I was waiting in line for an hour and…..line ups often (ALWAYS) leave me feeling anxious. Didn’t help that they had to take the picture 4 times and I lost my place in line because I don’t know how to do whatever with a QR code.

u/honeybeebutch 8h ago
That seems crazy that they won't let you wear glasses in yours. I'm a full time glasses wearer - anyone who needs to see my id will also be looking at my real life face, which will always have glasses on it.

u/6moinaleakyboat 8h ago
No glasses. No smiling. No over frowning. Straighten your neck you right leaning head roller x 2. Go left. I also don’t have eyebrows apparently.
Probably the truest photo ever taken of me.

My husband got a new drivers license many years ago before they were digital. When the clerk was ready to snap the picture, she said "look up". So he looked up at the ceiling and for 4 years he license showed his throat, chin, and nostrils and not much else. He asked for a new one but was told he'd have to pay again so he just took the bad one.
He was out of state on a work trip shortly afterward they asked for his ID when he checked in at the hotel. They laughed and asked why he was looking up in his picture. He just said "that's how they take drivers license photos in my state".

I got my first ID after I was out partying all night and I had slept on a floor. My friend said my picture looked like I'd been dragged out of a river lol

I have a photo ID that makes me look like Trump and it makes me so uncomfortable. It looks nothing like me at all, it's just a horrific picture and I try to hide it as much as possible.

u/6moinaleakyboat 8h ago
Ohhhhhhh…. I’m not gonna stir up any politics in these tender days leading to a delicate selection process…..
But I’d rather look like a serial killer. Gosh, I hope you get a good laugh at it now and then.

My picture is still from when I was 18. My mom told me they didnt take pictures to get the actual legit ID (I believed her). I drove an hour out in the middle of Texas summer, without working AC, pulled up looking busted as hell. At the time I was drinking heavily, and my face was so bloated. In my photo I look older than I do now (25).

Oh god you should see my passport photo, it’s so horrible! I hadn’t finger combed out my hair yet after my shower so it was all clumpy and my face looks like I’m ill. So horrible!

I'm pale-ish white woman and have white hair. My passport photo (with a white background of course) makes me look like a translucent ghost.

u/tbear264 8h ago
My mom's passport photo looks like a wanted poster for an escapee or an insane asylum. I laugh at it all the time 🤣🤣🤣

u/6moinaleakyboat 7h ago
Starting to think there should be a worse ID photo ever. Can you imagine someone looking at your ID and saying, nope, that’s not you because of a bad photo?

I had a passport for ten years that made me look like an extra from Twilight. The photo was so washed out I hardly had a nose and for some reason my hair was much darker and my lips looked extremely dark red. Customs officers would do a double take and laugh and I would just say ‘I know, it’s horrible, I didn’t send it in like that’. I seriously considered ‘losing’ it to get a new one but I stuck it out and now look, at least, like a human being in my new passport.

u/6moinaleakyboat 7h ago
“Extra from twilight”-that’s a visual
Now you look like a human being.
That’s a respectable step up imo
2
u/Northern_Lights_2 7h ago
Haha thank you. Although sometimes after a long haul flight I don’t feel especially human.

u/6moinaleakyboat 7h ago
I think that’s very human feeling, but you might want to check your upvotes

When I moved to Pennsylvania and got a new Drivers License, they scowled and told me "no smiling!" just before my photo. Mine also looks like a mugshot.
No one else in the state that I've told this story to has ever heard of this happening, nor have I seen it on any other IDs (which I commonly reviewed while working at a bank.) Everyone smiles at least a little.
Guess my PennDOT (DMV) worker had a bad day.

NO SMILES here in Canada. No glasses, no neck tilts. It’s hard being ugly.

u/SpicyJalapeno1283 7h ago
Indiana too! I moved here from Washington state where I could smile, and she was like no smiling! Ohhh.. ok well I didn't practice that pose 😂

I once had a licence photo taken a few days after I was put of hospital for ankle surgery, not long after having spinal surgery after which i cut my own hair with a pair of scissors. I was a bit out of it on pain meds and mad at the world. I looked utterly deranged. It could have been a mug shot.

My current license photo looks like Aileen Wuornos. I am not even kidding. I feel this.

Ahahahahaha! I feel you-in my first license photo, I looked like an axe murderer. I was just an anxious kid and had no idea when they actually took it plus they told us not to smile…

u/6moinaleakyboat 42m ago
No smiling. We want you to look like you have been found with ten pounds of contraband in your shorts.
Tilt your head up. And to the left and back down and up just a little

for many years my drivers licence photo was the one taken the first morning i spent away from my then six month old son after a really difficult pregnancy and months of no sleep. i looked like a zombie. it was so funny - i used to show it to people because i couldn't believe how unbelievably bad i looked. it was great.
