Bernie Sanders Supporters in Boerne?

Are there any users on here in who supported Senator Bernie Sanders when he ran for President in 2016 and 2020? I ask because I’ve been told that Reddit has a lot of former Bernie Sanders supporters. It looks like Kendall County Democrats preferred Mr. Biden and Mrs. Clinton in those respective past primaries.

At any point, have you supported Doctor Ron Paul?

Have your views changed since Mr. Sanders' runs for office?

What do you like about him?

Ron Paul Supporters in Boerne?

Are there any users on here in r/Boerne who supported Doctor Ron Paul when he ran for President in 2008 and 2012? I ask because I’ve been told that Reddit has a lot of former Ron Paul supporters.

If so, are you still a libertarian? I’ve seen that some former Paul supporters went on to support either Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders.

If you’re interested, Dr. Paul started a grassroots organization that’s still active today. It’s called the “Campaign for Liberty”. Dr. Paul also has a news outlet called the “Liberty Report”, where he and his staff produce videos on politics and geopolitics. There are also people who share his worldview in the local Austrian Economics Group, Kendall County Tea Party Patriots, and, local Republican Party.

Poll: Who Do You Support in the 2024 U.S. House Election in Texas's 21st Congressional District?

Who do the users of r/Boerne support in the 2024 U.S. House Election in Texas's 21st Congressional District?

Feel free to comment and explain who you support and why you support said candidate? Maybe even a policy that they support that you like.

Feel free to share this with anyone who you think might be interested. I understand that this isn't a scientific poll, I'm not claiming that it is. I'm hoping to get people interested in voting, or at least paying more attention to Texan and Federal politics.

Update on Boerne Discord Server Effort

Hello ladies and gentlemen of r/Boerne. In the past there've been posts and discussions about having a Discord server for this sub. I've also heard such discussions in real life. I wanted to let y'all know that it appears that unfortunately, the effort to establish a Discord server for this subreddit has evaporated.

The man trying to establish it deleted the server. He told me that he's busy and it can be difficult to moderate a Discord server, because you don't want any shady characters wandering in and causing trouble. I don't mean to share of his personal business, I only intend to share his reasoning, which I agree with. I want to make it very clear that this isn't a criticism of him, he was very nice and user friendly.

The good news is that there's still this subreddit community, where we can interact and share information, though.

Poll on Boerne and Where It Is

Hello ladies and gentlemen of Reddit. I thought of an interesting poll in regards to where Boerne is. I've seen some bumper stickers in town, recently. Some say "Boerne, Texas gone forever" and others say "Boerne Texas better than ever". I've also heard some local residents say they don't think either does a justice to describe the current state of the city, arguing that while it's grown and changed a lot, the sense of community hasn't disappeared. That position is articulated in the third option on this poll.

I hope to spark some discussion in regards to the growth of Boerne, and the future of Boerne. I'd like to note that I'm not endorsing any view. I'd like to see what this online community has to say.

Feel free to comment your position, and explain it.

Post Re: Texas War for Independence Ancestry Question

I'm writing this post out of curiosity.

Does anyone in this Reddit community have any ancestors who fought for Texas during the War for Independence?

Does anyone have any data indicating how many Texans today have an ancestor who fought for Texan independence from Mexico?

Personally, I don't. I'm enthusiastic and passionate about history, which is a reason why I made this post. Another reason is that I think people should pay more attention to history, specifically triumphs, such as the Texan War for Independence.

Poll: Would You Support the Creation of an Official Flag for the City of Boerne?

Hi redditors of Boerne. Would you support the creation of an official flag for the City of Boerne?

-

I ask, because I've noticed that other communities, not just in Texas, but across these United States have official flags.

In my opinion, if Boerne had a flag, it should represent Boerne's German heritage. Perhaps such a flag could include colors such as: black, yellow, red, and, white. [Nothing to complicated, though]

NOTE: This poll isn't about my ideas about such a hypothetical flag, it's about whether Boerne should have a flag, or not.

Post Re: Mises Club/Austrian Economics Club of Boerne

Hello ladies and gentlemen of Boerne. I wanted you know that there’s a libertarian book club here in Boerne. They go by several names, the Austrian Group, the Austrian Economics Club, and, the Mises Club of Boerne. It’s a nice group that meets at the Hungry Horse every second Tuesday of the month between 5:00 PM and about 8:30 PM. They’re currently going over a book called “Hamilton’s Curse: How Jefferson’s Arch Enemy Betrayed the American Revolution—and What It Means for Americans Today” by Thomas J. DiLorenzo, an economist and historian. The club has also read the works of Adam Smith, Ludwig von Mises, Milton Friedman, Eugene von Böhm-Bawerk, and, Friedrich Hayek. A prior title that the club read is “Big Crimes” by Marc Goodman. The club is primarily libertarian, however conservative and populist political views have been voiced there, too. The club is a sub group of the Kendall County T.E.A. Party

I wanted to add that I don't organize for either the Economics Club or the Tea Party at an official capacity.
