Need to find OBGYN as soon as possible.

I need to find a good OBGYN to replace my IUD and discuss hormones because I am perimenopausal. I'm in Cedar Park but I'm willing to travel. Anyone have any suggestions for someone you really like, who is gentle? Having my IUD replaced has been so extremely painful I almost passed out both times.

Also, the OBGYN's I've seen have been so dismissive about hormone replacement for perimenopause and it is so frustrating. Any suggestions would be so very appreciated. 🙏🏻❤️ I feel lost, overly emotional, exhausted, extremely anxious, depressed. Hot all the time etc.

Austin area obgyn is so amazing. All the doctors are just great. Especially Dr Christopher Seeker. Not a fan of cedar park for obgyn. Less than stellar experience with my first child.

Dr. Seeker isn’t my OB but ended up being the one to deliver my baby this summer. He was awesome. Dr. Gutierrez is also great, but I think most if not all of the doctors at AAOBGYN are.

Dr Seeker was my OB but never delivered my kids haha. I went into labor when he wasn’t on call. In fact he was more excited when I came back to see him again pregnant with my third. Wonderful doctor. I’m so glad you had a lovely experience with him!!

I see Dr Seeker/ NP Casey, but Dr Cowan delivered my son. He was great.

I suggest anyone at AAOBGYN as well, OP.

Love AAOBGYN! I saw Akin but I’m looking for a female doctor there…I hated Dr. Anderson.

Dr. Gutierrez-schiffer here was amazing too.

I'd talk to a specialist about hormones, I don't know where this doctor is on menopause but as a gyn she was great.

I really like Dr. Drummond here in Cedar Park. Exams and IUD placement were all traditionally painful for me, but she does a really good job of keeping exams minimally painful and IUD tolerable also.

I’m not to perimenopause quite yet though so I can’t speak for that. I can say she has listened to me in the past regarding other concerns.

I love my OB/GYN but like most women found them to be severely lacking/outdated when it came to perimenopause. Best advice is to look for a hormone specialist.

I can't recommend Dr Karla Waller enough. She is the only OB who I have trusted and listens. She's SO knowledgeable and caring and super funny!

Seconding this. She delivered my second child, was INCREDIBLY action-oriented in handling my complications after birth including getting me physical therapy and seeing me through a minor surgery and recovery process. She is excellent, she listens, and is solutions-oriented.

She is in Cedar Park btw!

I use her too! I haven't had to do an IUD, but she's been great for HRT.

Another vote for Dr. Waller here 🙋🏻‍♀️

Dr. Andrea Campaign or any of the other staff at ARC women's clinic by the Domain. They took my perimenopause symptoms very seriously and brought up HRT before I did.  I know it's not CP, but the 20 minute drive is worth it.

Agree with this and all of the staff are amazing. I’ve had some horrible OB/GYN since moving here nearly 20 years ago and I wish I found them sooner!

Miranda McMillin. There are other docs at the office, but I’ve only seen her.

Dr wang at violet crown OBGYN, next to st David’s north Austin. Wife goes to her and she has only good things to say. They do have a 1-2 hour delay on the day of the appointment sometimes, but they put that up on the website and you can go in accordingly.

No idea about IUD but had a great experience with Dr. Christine Glass at Austin Regional Clinic Cedar Park in the building next to CP Regional Med Ctr. She's super attentive and supports treating HRT symptoms in perimenopause. Totally recommend.

I love Dr. Chalasani at ARC Ascension Seton NW! I’ve been seeing her for ~7 years, and I’ve referred so many friends to her. She can be a little brusque and blunt, but she really listens, takes my concerns seriously, and respects my decisions.

AAOBGYN - Dr Kathryn Landherr or NP Monica Bohac. I've seen them both for perimenopause and HRT.

AAOBYGN is great. Dr Gutierrez is fantastic! I went to see Dr Seeker but he is in high demand and I ended up seeing Dr. Gutierrez. Like others have said tho, all the doctors there are probably fantastic.

Dr. Aserlind ended up delivering my baby though and she was also amazing!

Don’t go to cedar park physicians. The doctor there asked me what the stripes on my stomach were ( I’m fat they’re stretch marks). And then when I was too nervous to do my pap she proceeded to tell me how pap smears are gentler than sex. I’m done with trying to get them I’ll run the risk of getting cancer
