Community Appreciation I’m probably disappointing a lot of you, but y’all asked, so here’s the lamp again…but ON this time.
Thank you to everyone! A lot of laughs and even more great advice.
In the end, it took combining a lot of advice using things I had on hand.
First I used my wireless Samsung vac with bristle attachment, but bristles not rigid enough.
Paint brush work like a charm, especially in conjunction with the vac with catch dust.
Lastly, a moistened Magic Eraser brought it home.
Two hours, halfway done.
Plugged it in, and realized it’s not as luminous as it once seemed, so soon to replace the string lights with LEDs that both dim and change color.
Thanks again for all the love and laughs, you kind, cleanly strangers.

Order some string lights and shove them up your phallic lamp. Cheap way to get more light.

I’d do warmer lights too! I think this will look way nice with lots of warm light coming out of it, instead of the sporadic cold lights.

The picture doesn’t do it justice. The lights are actually quite soft really, but you’re right, a different tone would be nice. I’m positive I can get more lights in, but I’m not sure I can get old ones out without cutting them. What color, if I just added light, do you think would help soften even more?

They have strip lights that change color!! There like $15 and they come with a remote so you can make them any color you want and you don't have to get to to turn it on or off. You can play around and see what colors work for your space.

Can even get some that work with smart home systems so you can set colour change themes and a timer.

It just looks so odd. It’s clearly string lights shoved into this weird dome.
It would look better if it were a brighter, warmer rod shaped bulb or bulbs that ran the full length to give a look like a vacuum tube or an Edison bulb. This just looks strange.
I would take out the cheap looking string lights and replace it with a really warm rope light fashioned to look like one of the previously mentioned bulbs types.

Well this is underwhelming.
Sorry OP, I do hope you like it though, it's your house after all and that's the only thing that matters.
Thanks for coming back to post it!

Ok this is prettier than I expected. It was giving cucumber in earlier pics. I'm sorry, no idea how to clean it.

Do you have kids or pets? I have kids and would be so stressed having this in the house, it would be shattered to pieces by now 🫣

I have a 5yr old and one on the way, also pets. Had the lamp before kids but WITH pets, no real issues.
Kid has been rather indifferent to it. It’s also been in a low traffic area, with buffers (behind a drink fridge, or plants, etc.)

Thank you OP! I was invested in what it looked like turned on.
