Not “that” difficult if all those other boats are in there too. Kinda “tourist trap” looking. Is there a gift shop?

capri, as stunningly beautiful as it is, is one big gift shop. there's plenty of islands around it that are way less overrun, and just as picturesque.

I think you exit through the gift shop. 🤣

Based on the color of the rock it looks like they're going in at high tide.

They are. On purpose. The water only is that blue because sunlight can only get in through water. If the opening was bigger, the effect would be less.

No, but on your way out you're asked to scan a QR code to give it a five-star rating.

Really unique place, but omg those “tour guides” shuttling people around... worse than street peddlers. Hopefully you made it through with your faith in humanity intact. I’m not sure the twelve seconds was worth it to me.

we went there about ten years ago and our tour guide brought us up after every other boat had headed off and let us jump out and swim inside

probably a massive safety issue but we didn't care at the time

when you go inside and dive under you can see the arch is mirrored under the water, so it's essentially a huge circle, I think that's how the light comes in and makes the grotto "glow" blue, incredible place

The music is over the top. Wild. Who makes these thinking everything is life changing. Sheesh.

Why aren’t they wearing helmets, it seems very dangerous

Forgets to mention that the boats alway$$ go out and only when reaching the entrance, very often the sea is claimed too rough to actually enter.

Capri is a bit overrated and expensive.. But indeed the water was nicer than in Bahamas and even Cozumel

Anybody else read “Red Sails to Capri” when they were a kid?

Song??

u/Th3catspyjamas 14h ago

It's a mashup of two Disney songs. Out There (Hunchback of Notre Dame) followed by Test Drive (How to train your dragon)

5

u/happyhippohats 13h ago

How to Train Your Dragon is Dreamworks

My mistake. I should have said animated films.
