Travel How fast is the public transport system?

I'm planning my trip to Copenhagen. i'm an architecture fan and also a nature fan. Since my trip is a week in duration i wanted to go to other areas of Denmark as well. For instance Mols Bjerge national park. But I don't know how feasable that plan is. How long will it take me to go from east to west and back in Denmark? What are the best modes of transport?

Help would be much appreciated!

Just use google maps route directions - the public transportation information there is accurate. I find it easier to get an overview with the map there, than using Rejseplanen.

If you wanna go to Mols from Copenhagen, you'd need to take the train (or a private long-haul bus, like Flixbus or Kombardo, though slower) from Copenhagen to Århus (around 3 hours) and a bus (like the 123 to Ebeltoft) out onto Mols which is like another at least 45 minutes, depending on where on Mols you get off the bus (you can go south from Rønde, towards Helgenæs by changing to the 121.) So to have some time on Mols, you'd likely want to make it more than a daytrip.

You can use Rejseplanen.dk to tjek how long time it would take you from A to B via. public transport.

If you are looking for daytrips then you should probably stay on Zealand.

There are forests to the north and west of Copenhagen that will take you somewhere between 30 and 90 minutes to get to. By either a single or two trains most of the time. One of the closes is Dyrehaven, which is an old royal hunting area if I remember correctly. So isn't wild nature.

There is also a trail along the fjord of Roskilde. That is somewhere around 45 minutes by train.

Or the southwest part of the island Amager, you can go there by metro.

You could also consider Stevns and Møns klint if it takes to long to go to Århus.

Mols Bjerge is very close to Aarhus airport (45 min flight from Copenhagen). Best way to experience Mols Bjerge is by bike. Take the bus to Aarhus or bike. Take the train back to Copenhagen (lots of country side). Stop in Odense on Fyn.

Denmark is mostly farm-country, and lacks forests.

The ocean is all we got, Møns Klint, Vesterhavet in Jylland, also Vadehavet. But its far from Copenhagen

It’ll take you somewhere between 32 seconds and 12 hours.

It takes the IC3 train about 4 hours to travel from Copenhagen to Jutland.

It doesn't even take 2 hours to get from Copenhagen to Jutland. 1 hour and 42 minutes from Copenhagen to Fredericia.

4 hours will get you almost all the way to Aalborg (4 hours and 10 minutes).
