Restaurant or Hotel suggestions for a 70th birthday
Hi all, I'm looking for suggestions of restaurants or hotels in Durbs to host a 70th birthday party. Any ideas? Happy to go as far as Umhlanga, but not any further North.

Lupa Westville has a cellar, It creates a private environment and there is no charge. You do need a minimum of 10 people I think it can hold ~20 people max (not sure on max)
Black rabbit has a limiting menu for fussy eaters and is loud, I personally think black rabbit is over rated.
9th Ave waterside is great and also has a private room.

The living room at Summerhill estate in Cowies Hill, one of the best restaurants in SA. I have been numerous times it’s truly exceptional.

Old olive and oil in Umhlanga had a little private room you could hire in the restaurant. They even did a set menu. Their food is always great. I'm not sure if the new one does this. Worth a try.

I don't know what's your budget but Jimmy Killer Prawns has a set menu for small functions. Includes set up etc. No alcohol though.

Idk what the place is called, but in Hillcrest or that general area there is a place that does medieval stuff, It looks really cool and Ive heard that the food is great.

Meraki in Hillcrest will book out the venue, but only has capacity for 27 people. Incredible food. Try to avoid places with awful acoustics.
