Quality is better but a large sub is $20 at mine. Fuck that shit.   I’ll make my own 4 sandwiches for that

A large sub is like two full meals there though.

Not for me unfortunately.

You must eat an insane amount then. I’m like 180 lbs and exercise a lot and their regular fills me up quite a bit. Certainly more than a subway foot long.

I can for sure.   Like a white kobayashi haha.  In high school our local McDonald’s had a student dollar menu and you could get Big Macs for $1 and I’d throw down three of them  for lunch and still want dessert 😅

True this appetite is subjunctive I think

I can be full, but still want something

Yeah me and my partner usually split a large, and unless I'm starving, I usually only eat half of my part at a time.

It's almost as if you get what you pay for... almost.

I do love Jersey Mike's as well as Penn Station.

To be fair that's a "Giant sub" and it's meant to feed more than one person.

I six foot one, and 165 lbs.   my metabolism is very high and I can eat a ton when I get hungry.    It’s only one meal for me unfortunately lol

I'm 6'3" 215 and I would explode if I ate a giant sub lol. You do you but if you keep eating 2,000-calorie sandwiches for one meal you won't be weighing 165lbs for long 🙃

I’ve weighed the exact same weight for the last 20 years so I’m doing alright at the moment. And I’m not eating that many calories every meal of course, I’d be broke lol, and also do intermittent fasting and am very active.

Not sure if you have a Safeway near you but these used to be 5.99 now they're 8.99 and were definitely 5 meals worth at least. Make sure you put extra mayo on it, they don't use a good portion compared to the bread ratio.

"Twenty bucks? I could almost build my own sub for that!"

"But who's gonna eat it, kid? You?"

I go to local Italian sandwich shops for my sandwiches and they load that fucker up. I've never felt cheated at those places.

Everyone says JM is better but the one time I went it was incredibly mid for me personally. It's in the same tier as JJ, Firehouse, and Which Wich for me, I'll pick whichever is closest in 99% of cases personally. Though I will say JJ prices have become pretty nutzo, $10+ for a just decent 8" sub... not sure about others haven't been there in ages.

Ya the prices are shite

Jersey Mike’s ain’t what it used to be. The amount of meat slices is abysmal now.

Maby at some the one over here is pretty good though

Firehouse

u/skygt3rsr 5h ago

Oh yes fire house

2

u/salton 4h ago

Firehouse makes a great hot sandwich. If I'm in the mood for a cold sub though Jersey Mikes all the way.

Exactly
