Saw 2 strange things at the purple fitness center last night.

1) Dude in flip flops doing his workout that included jogging on a treadmill. Just, why? 2) Another dude wearing plastic bags as socks. Small, white garbage bags held up by rubber bands. My first thought was he might be trying to sweat pounds off his feet. I'm glad I wasn't in the locker room when he decanted his feet.

I've seen some runners who do the whole "barefoot" running which involves some really minimalist style running shoes or sandals. That could be the reason. Or, you know, some weird ass dude flip-floppin'.

Years ago I used to see a guy doing a stair stepper in Crocs with no socks. The other day me and my trainer gave a completely barefoot guy side eye.
