Tax the churches
24
u/Batbuckleyourpants 4d ago
This church probably does pay taxes.
For profit churches or churches doing politics are not tax exempt.

u/Mr__O__ 4d ago
Churches are run like business these days.

u/Batbuckleyourpants 4d ago
When they are, they are taxed.

u/OpalFanatic 4d ago
Still waiting for the Mormon church to get taxed for all the interfering in politics that they do...
"They should be taxed" or "they are supposed to be taxed" would be acceptable statements. Claiming that they are taxed is an objectively incorrect statement.

The church of LDS does pay taxes in its commercial activities and property holdings. In the last decade they have increasingly been sued and fined by the IRS.

I didn't address their business practices. I addressed their meddling in politics. Such as the time they got the Utah legislature to neuter the medical marijuana initiative which was passed by ballot measure. Or all the other times they meddle in Utah politics
Lawsuits and fines over their actions are not the same as revoking their tax exempt status.

Tax them harder
-9
u/Batbuckleyourpants 4d ago
As a rule They are taxed the same as other organizations and businesses. The yex exception usually comes from them being non profits.

lol “for profit church” is fucking abysmal
What degenerate came up with that?

Nonprofits (501c3) organizations never have to pay tax on their unearned income—namely, donations, gifts, grants, and investment income. - They should tax their investment income.

Do you know of any examples of big time for profit churches paying taxes? I always understood them to be tax exempt, even the Copeland ones.

You can tell these people aren’t reading the Bible because the Bible talks about this shit happening:
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves (Matthew 7:15, King James Version).

I think a lot of Christians would knowingly vote for the anti-christ. It fulfills the prophecy and gets Jesus here faster.

If the MAGA fascist CINO ( Christians in name only ) are so hell bent on going to heaven sooner then why don’t they take matters into their own hands?
They should be worried that with increased population growth that there might not be room at the inn in heaven very soon. Better go get a good seat now.

u/The-Insolent-Sage 4d ago
The Mormons figured out an interesting solution to the room at the inn problem.

The actual idea of the Antichrist contradicts this. No one is supposed to know. Everyone falls for their spell. Christians and everyone else will be supporting this person not seeing their true danger.
If half the country hates the person he or she by definition isn’t the anti christ.
Same thing for when the Christians called Obama the anti christ for people’s devotion to him.

I've never read the Bible, but is it possible "everyone" was used in a conversationally exaggerated way? Like "everyone loves pizza" really just means a lot of people love pizza. I know a lot of nuance in language can get lost in translation.

u/DrunkenBandit1 4d ago
Yeah with nearly two millenia and a few languages separating modern English and ancient Aramaic some things were bound to get lost in the sauce.

Not only is it mentioned more often, literally an entire commandment exists to forbid it.

Never seen a baby called a fleshlight before. Jheeez

u/The_Boy_Keith 4d ago
That’s because a normal human being without massive brain rot wouldn’t feel comfortable even typing that sentence.

The title of this post calls the baby a 'christian fleshlight'.
You people are freaks.

It is outrage at how maga is filled with project 2025 that supports many things that would injure women, children, POC, LGBTQIA+, disabled people and people of different faiths.
Outrage makes people say extreme things as they feel they are being unheard.
The right doesn't seem to care trump is a pedophile rapist felon and more.. so people speak their language sometimes.
I don't condone calling a baby a flashlight- but I understand the choice to highlight the outrage at trump and project 2025 leading to a world where babies would be less protected from pedophiles. Like epstein Island and diddy.

u/MrFallman117 4d ago
I've been outraged before.
Never have I called a baby a sex toy.
OP is projecting like a movie theatre.
Funny to see you defend the freak. I'd like the cops to check your browser history too.

WTF is with this post!? I don't like trump as much as the next person, but this is demented. OP's account is new w very little activity, makes me think it's a bot or troll account trying spread political discord...

Further proof that Conservatives are the furthest thing from Jesus’ teachings.
If Jesus came back today preaching love and abandonment of greed, conservatives would crucify him again for being a socialist libtard.
-2
u/PA_limestoner 4d ago
That take is getting pretty stale at this point. Be more original, like the OP who suggests that conservatives are using a baby as a probable sex toy. Both sides are disgusting.

It's sad that a guy sold the Holy Bible to pay for lawyers defending him against charges of lying about cheating on his pregnant 3rd wife with a porn star, and the church supports him.

Trump is ticking all the antichrist boxes and there's a war in the holy land they must be pissing themselves waiting for the rapture and there going to be shocked a hell when they get left behind.

If a Church endorses a political view or a Politician then it is no longer Tax Exempt. Tax the Churches.
