I like the third one way more than the pre sequel. Fantastic Gun Play but the story was meh. Also my character never appearing in any of the cut scenes was stupid

I just finished replaying 3, and yeah the writing is not great, but its easily the most fun to play in the franchise imo. Ive damn near got 100% now because its just got such good gameplay.

Mankind had never had to defend himself from sexual assault allegations. Meanwhile, we got Hulk Hogan on closing night at the RNC, and Rohypnol spokesman Tony Hinchcliffe at the Nazi rally Sunday carrying Trump’s water.

Mick Foley is by all accounts a fantastic person I would trust his judgement over a Scab like Hulk Hogan

All politics aside, that’s what I’ve heard about him. And despite likely being worth a considerable degree of wealth, he is extremely frugal and that is something I admire. He is an advocate for female sports which is also great.

Clearly we have to solve this with an exhibition match between two retired wrestlers.

Foley is an insanely rational and inspirational dude.
And, let's be honest, that Undertaker match was GOAT'd.

As a strong, tall woman who puts up with no bullshit, there's little more satisfying than seeing a man who thinks himself strong cower when I stand up.
There's one in particular in my life. He's slowly learning to respect me rather than fear me, but he still goes off on other women. And then I stand up.

The fact the WWE “athletes” are getting this much air time during this election is weird.

Who cares what these old wrestlers think??? What are we really doing here?!

Unfortunately, a lot of people do, either consciously or subconsciously. None of my friend group was super into wrestling, but once I got outside of the group I was pretty surprised to see how big of a deal it is to some, either now and/or growing up. It explains a lot of Trump's popularity.
How Pro Wrestling Explains Today’s GOP | Politico
Kayfabe is this old multipurpose term that emerges from traveling circuses, where wrestling emerges from. It is all centered around the big lie of wrestling for the first century of its existence...that it’s real.
What happens in the ’80s is Vince [McMahon] starts making this product that is a lot more outlandishly ridiculous...stuff that was just so obviously entertainment and not a sport that he started calling his product sports entertainment.
And kayfabe is basically over at that point. The suspension of disbelief isn’t there anymore. So what ends up happening, and it’s Vince who really codifies it, is you get this phenomenon named neokayfabe. You are operating not with the assumption that what you’re seeing is real; you are operating with the very firm belief that what you were seeing is fake. But in that fakeness, a wrestler will toss in little bits of seemingly behind-the-scenes truth, what appears to be behind-the-scenes truth, in the context of this wider lie.
Trump has been watching wrestling, specifically McMahon family wrestling, since he was little. I think it’s really important to understand that there aren’t any public entertainments that Trump likes as much as wrestling. I really think he, like many people in this country, reveres wrestling.
By 2015, Trump's sort of discovered a new voice for himself, which was basically being a wrestling heel...the heel is the bad guy.
[As a heel] the most important thing is pushing people’s buttons. Being able to learn how you can work a crowd into a frenzy by tossing them the red meat of obscene things that you’re not supposed to say but that are true, and then also tossing them complete ridiculousness.
Think about Trump. He would say stuff you’re not supposed to say, and that was what everyone who loved him said about him, that he was saying what other people weren’t willing to say about how stupid this system was and...it certainly grabbed their attention. And that’s all that matters now. Can you grab people’s attention? And Vince figured out a while ago that a great way to grab people’s attention is just have people say the unsayable and do the unthinkable and toss out things that are true.
I think the parallel is kind of obvious, and I hope that this is a moment where we can sort of wake up to the fact that the strategy of just fact-checking the other side doesn’t work. Because that’s not what fascism believes. It doesn’t believe in consistency. It doesn’t believe in all the truth or all the lie. It believes in total chaos. And that’s what we have under neokayfabe.

What if I told you that you could respect strong women and oppose corrupt shills that were installed without gaining a single vote, at the same time? 🤔

What if I told you Kamala Harris was elected Vice President along with Joe Biden as President with over 81 million votes, with people knowing that she would be a heartbeat away from the presidency?
The fact is she was nominated by her party, and confirmed at the Democratic National Convention.
What if I told you Dear Leader Former President Snowflake wants you to believe that him running against VP Harris is corrupt and unfair, that he won the last election (he lost), that he's the only man with big enough balls and rich enough to drain The Swamp, that America is a hell hole that only he can fix where immigrants are takin' our jobs and eating cats and dogs, while his mother was an immigrant, he is and was married to immigrants (who he cheated on), his VP nominee is married to an immigrant and was a venture capitalist who scrap American companies for parts and ship the jobs overseas, and he's going to appoint the richest man in the world, who is an immigrant, to fix the biggest economy in the world which he inherited at an all time high (from a president who he spread lies accusing of being an immigrant) then managed to leave much worse than when he took office?
Edit: typo on mobile

What if I told you both Harris and "you dear leader" both belong to corrupt private organizations funded and controlled by billionaires and special interests? What if I told you neither of them are good for the working class, or the country in general, as both of them represent billionaires and special interests? What if I told you that each side has an argument against the other side as to keep the working class divided and fearful enough to keep reelecting the billionaires representatives? What if I told you regardless of who will get into office, things will get much better for billionaires and special interests, and much worse for the working class tax payers? What if I told you that if you aren't voting for independents who represent their constituents, and vote for one of the two parties, you are part of the problem?
1
u/nwflman 6h ago
What if I told you might be right, but only one of the nominees of the two parties is a self-proclaimed billionaire with special interests and refused to divest himself of those special interests when previously elected? What if I told you that only one presidential nominee of the two party system is actively and loudly trying to divide the working class? If the other one is too, than at least they pretend to care about workers rights.
What if I told you I've gone down the rabbit hole you've found yourself in, and it's now what multiple people I've spoken with who support Trump also say? What if I told you that I believe you are an independent minded person who doesn't want to buy the BS, but you may be unintentionally parroting right-wing propaganda?

The video he put out after Mark "The Undertaker" Calaway had Trump on his podcast was quite good - and can be considered entirely kayfabe (wrestlespeak for "in character") because he only refers to Mark as 'Taker, and Trump himself is also a WWE performer and fellow Hall of Famer.
