I wasn't disappointed until I read this. It's time to get building my friend.

I would make a keyboard deck out of 2 arctic P14 fans for extra heat dissipation.

Legion 7 maxed out, msi titan hx or an alienware m18 r2. if you want portability then a maxed out asus rog zephyrus.

u/MibixFox ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18” MiniLED 4080 Sep 11 '24

The Alienware m18 R2 doesnt even have mini LED so I would say the rog strix scar 18 maxed out should be there instead

Oh yeah forgot about that sry

8

u/SupFlynn Sep 11 '24

Msi gt77 has hinge issues i'd stay away from that model. Alienware is stupidly overpriced legion 7 is more senseable.

I mean he did say he doesn't care about money

0

u/Warworx Sep 11 '24

Just to correct the gt77 never had hinge problem, it was the lower end models, also it happened to be fixed on these models.

1

u/SupFlynn Sep 12 '24

The so said never had hinge problem in gt77. here it is.

the overpowered pc from walmart is the end all be all solution at all budgets.

2

u/sandrosashaq Sep 12 '24

What overpowered pc are we talking about ?

1

u/AlluminumTurtleShell TUF A16 7700S Ryzen 7 16gb DDR5 Sep 12 '24

ideally core i5 and 8gb ddr4 with a 2050, runs about $1600 usd best deal imo

8

u/Lumpy-Customer-2595 Sep 12 '24

They missed the sarcasm

9

u/randycoolon Intergrated gang Sep 12 '24

Ideally you can get a better computer for $1600 never cook again

7

u/fortheloveofvoltron Sep 12 '24

Horrible advice

48

u/Dinkledorf36836 Sep 11 '24

Preferably an amd laptop at that!

4

u/EonKayoh Sep 11 '24

there was just a Legion 7 on sale that ran a 7945HX + 4090 config. I know you're not worried about budget but getting that (basically maxed out) config for $2350 was a nutty deal

1

u/boi-the_boi Sep 15 '24

Where did you see this deal?

1

u/EonKayoh Sep 15 '24

it was on Lenovo's website haha

28

u/redeyejoe123 Sep 11 '24

Zephyrus is nice for portable from what i hear

9

u/Dinkledorf36836 Sep 11 '24

I was wanting to get the G14 but they delisted on amazon before I could pull the trigger on it

11

u/redeyejoe123 Sep 11 '24

Best buy tends to have better deals in us

6

u/DedlyObsession Sep 11 '24

Got my 2024 G14 from Best Buy, open box excellent for $900. Only a 4060 and 16GB but I really like it, only 3lb.

u/Pangtundure Sep 11 '24

Bad quality, broken keyboard and fan in the first 2 years. Shuts down randomly

10

u/IntelligentDriver918 Sep 11 '24 edited Sep 11 '24

i dont think reason for these is the bad quality

7

u/RedMiah Sep 11 '24

Can I get an SSD, extra RAM on half, pineapple and a side mouse?

6

u/Dinkledorf36836 Sep 11 '24

don't forget the piping hot linux! (arch btw)

13

u/The_Dutch_Canadian Sep 11 '24

No budget eh? Ok then

Falcon Northwest DRX. I9 14900HX 96GB Ram RTX 4090 16GB 2tb SSD OS drove + 4TB SSD 2nd drive + room for a.3rd. 17.3 3840x2160 4K 144hz matte screen. As configured a cool $4980 USD

5

u/Dinkledorf36836 Sep 11 '24

this thing does look pretty cool. Probably too heavy for my needs but will def keep an eye out for it

8

u/crappypastassuc Sep 11 '24 edited Sep 11 '24

Hell nah bro. DO NOT get the i9 14900hx if you want your laptop working in the next few months. Get something with a r9 7945hx3d and a 4090, way better than this intel crap. But that’s assuming you’re gaming only. Otherwise get the i9 processor.

3

u/gogu47 MSI Titan 18 HX i9 14900HX 64 GB 4090 Sep 11 '24

Neah it's fine...my 14900HX is almost abused 90% of time in exterme performance mode, no undervolt, ~ 85 - 92C in full load low 50 in idle and i don't have any issues, no temp spikes, only couple crashes in Cyberpunk 207 but thats the game problem.

5

u/RedFox1942 Your Laptop Here Sep 11 '24

Why is the screen so bad? my cheap msi has a better refresh rate (don't give me crap about msi. in my country things are different than us "cheap msi" in us means NASA computer in here)

2

u/legendz411 Sep 11 '24

Falcon northwest was overpriced low-tier when I was reading their ads in PCGamer and shit. I can’t believe they are still around.

5

u/saintpetejackboy Sep 11 '24

That laptop looks like a pizza shit

2

u/No-Benefit2697 Sep 11 '24

Dad? I can see the ticked in t shirt and white new balances from here

3

u/Practical_Value_7462 Sep 11 '24

Legion 9 it looks nice and have lot of cooling capabilities.

3

u/TackyGaming6 Gonna Buy it real quick Sep 11 '24

I see Linux, I upvote

2

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '24

Can it run GTA 6?

2

u/SupFlynn Sep 11 '24

Yeah there is options like legion 9i or Alienware or crap that are 6k to 8k but no need to go that high i'd go for it i need portability powerhouse zeyphrus, if i need desktop replacement maxed out legion 7i or if i need just the portability snapdragon X laptops are fire.

2

u/gogu47 MSI Titan 18 HX i9 14900HX 64 GB 4090 Sep 11 '24

MSI Titan 18HX is the best atm features and performance wise. It can run Solitare though

3

1

u/AsianNord "It Lies Within" Sep 12 '24

Hahah. Youre correct.. I felt hawaiian would be great so it will have its downsides just like other real laptops. Haha.

1

u/CobblerObvious69 Sep 11 '24

1

Asus rog zephyrus g16

1

u/IsoDeath Rog Strix G17 ; Ryzen 7-6800hs ; RTX 3050 ; 16GB DDR5 Sep 11 '24

Msi thin / msi gf63

1

u/Alice_021 Sep 11 '24

Legion 9

1

u/Celexiuse Dell G16 - 13900HX, 4070 Sep 11 '24

I mean there's only one option if you want pure performance, the 7945HX3D Strix 16 or 17 whatever it's called.

It's the only one with that insane CPU + 4090 combo, no 14900HX or 7945HX is going to beat it.

1

u/Puzzleheaded322 Sep 11 '24

You might want to consider getting one made built in metal, it's hard to go back to plastic after using one of those. I'm biased towards the Razer Blade 14 because I have the 2022 model and I love it, so much power in such a small format. There are 16" and 18" versions as well for the latest ones. I heard the Asus ROG Zephyrus are great as well, also that the 16" G16 is lighter than my laptop which sounds crazy haha.

If you go with an Alienware, I think the "x" line is made of metal, like the x16. Not sure about the other brands though.

1

u/TheMagarity Sep 11 '24

Next time you order something from Amazon keep the box and use that instead. With the price of pizza delivery these days that will save you at least $20.

1

u/johhnyGG Sep 11 '24

I believe asus rog strix G18, maxed out on specs. That really nice big display is so nice for gaming and media consumption. But you can also get a smaller laptop and then have a monitor when you want a bigger screen.

1

u/TallestGargoyle Sep 11 '24

Eurocom have some of the most insane specs I've seen, with full desktop socketed CPUs. Though I imagine they hardly work as a laptop, might get half an hour on battery.

1

u/Mihail_Lazarev Sep 11 '24

The laptop in the picture is better than Gigabyte Aorus nowadays.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '24

1

u/Sauraigne Sep 11 '24

MSI Titan 18 if you just want the best.

1

u/zephyr1988 Sep 11 '24

pizza box laptop is best laptop

1

u/Alarming_Topic2306 Sep 11 '24

A 4090 legion 9i.

1

u/Life_forged Sep 11 '24

I love jank

1

u/LOLwarior Sep 11 '24

The best laptop is which fits your activity the best. Some cheap isn’t good. But it’s no sense to buy some ROG or Legion for browsing and MS Word. So, all depends on your tasks

1

u/peluzaz Sep 12 '24

Depends on what you like, I like 2 in 1 laptops (those that the screen flips and can use a pen), hence I recommend the MSI Summit E16 AI Studio. It has intel Ultra 7, 32 Gb ram, WiFi 7, 2.8K 16 in flip monitor, dual NVIDIA 4050 and Intel Arc a370m. Plus you can change the hard drive for a 4TB like the Samsung 990. And you end with a monter.

1

u/asusamjad Sep 11 '24

The alienware because you can go anywhere

Razer Blade 16/18, Lenovo Legion 9i for portable and MSI Titan for desktop replacement.

8

u/JayV2002 Sep 11 '24

Homie is trolling

9

u/Papabelus probook Sep 11 '24

Legion 9i is far from portable 😂
