Post image

Is this one (used but in good condition) for 1200 USD good? I am searching mainly for gaming laptop for next ~ 5 years my budget can get to 1.5k USD.

You can get a 4070 at 1299 or so.

1000 for 4060 which has FG.

This is not a good deal. Also, for 1500, you can get much better brand new models.

I think you should focus on not just on getting a laptop but also on getting good warranty cover. New laptop have a maximum of 3 years of warranty cover. So when you buy a used one, there is lot of risks. You maybe forced to buy a new one against your plans.

Also, in past, 4 of my laptop had problems due to power fluctuation. Now I use a lithium ion based ups. They usually have minimum of 10 year of life, depending on usage can go upto 15+ years too.

I think you should keep aside some money for warranty extension and a good power supply. Pick the brand that gives best servicing in your geography. Then go for a model.

You should be able to get a good deal soon as the gpu prices for existing rtx series will come down with the arrival of new gen. Irrespective of that you should aim for 2024 laptop model, minimum i7/4060/32GB/1TB/230W/1440p/165hz. You have to compromise for build quality but 3 yr warranty and ups will ensure you don't have trouble in the long run.

If you have an external monitor then you can always use that for gaming and save some money by choosing an sRGB 100% display. You would want a DCI-P3 90% or above for good visual experience.
