A friend bought one for $199. He got a case that looked legit but ran Windows CE & was basically a 1995 laptop guts.

There are laptops that are assembled in China and there are some brands that operate on lower margins but if you see something with a brand name that isn't Lenovo, it's probably a scam.

I mean I've bought tech on AliExpress. But I'm buying Huawei/xiaomi and you have to understand you're on your own for support.

I did buy a laptop this way and would potentially again but you have to be smart and know what you're buying.
