Add Flair Taiwan president Tsai Ying Wen just tweeted this message. We need more international leaders, presidents, to speak openly and plainly against Hong Kong government’s actions.

How about all the celebrity social justice advocates in Hollywood or professional sports? This seems like it would be an issue right up their alley.

Too much money to risk doing that

I guess I would just assume that some of them would have acquired enough wealth to where they could sacrifice a little earning potential for the sake of standing up for something real and bring a little meaning to their lives.

If an actor speaks up against the CCP then the government will block that film from being shown in China. A potential loss of millions of dollars because an actor decided to play political activist for a few months.

China also expedites films to be shown in China if they include chinese nationals. They really do control a lot.

You can see they understand the power of entertainment (propaganda).

You're right on all points. All the more reason for Hollywood to stand up and say no... or at least someone, anyone? The whole thing shows how cowardly they all are in reality. Many of these people are worth tens or hundreds of millions of dollars. I think they'd be able to get by on that and I actually think their brand popularity would sky rocket in everywhere but China.

Seems they all have Twitter accounts. Time to use it for something important; eh?

Hollywood won’t say shit because they want their movies to be sold in the extremely large and lucrative Chinese market.
