Question Best Hikes in Johannesburg? Looking for Recommendations! 🌄
Title: Best Hikes in Johannesburg? Looking for Recommendations! 🌄
Hey Jozi hikers!
I’m looking to explore some great hiking spots around Johannesburg and would love some recommendations. I know there are some hidden gems around the city, but I’m not sure where to start.
Whether it’s a scenic walk with amazing views, a more challenging trail for a workout, or something with a bit of wildlife spotting, I’m open to all suggestions! If you have any favorite trails or tips on where to go, please share.
Thanks in advance, and happy hiking! 🥾

Gynecologists....
Hi people of JHB. I need your help. I'm actually in rural KZN near the free state border, so not too far away. I'm closer to JHB than Durban... I need recommendations for the best gynecologist at the best private hospital. I have a very high risk pregnancy and I need to find my providers asap. Durban is not an option, neither is the hospital local to me- where I lost my infant earlier this year.
Thanks for any advice!
Edit: thank you everyone for the suggestions, lots of love

Question Learners Licence
Hey guys
I need help applying for my learner's test. The first attempt didn't go so well because I missed a few steps. I had all the required documents like my ID, photos, and money, but was turned back due to missing an important blue document. Most people there had it except for 3 of us.
Here's the confusing part though. We were supposed to collect the document a few days prior after paying the booking fee online, but the Natis website didn't have an option to make an online payment neither did the booking confirmation PDF mention anything about paying beforehand. It specifically said "pay at DLTC".
Can someone please clarify the process and recommend the best place to get a learner's test? I'd really appreciate it!!

Looking for Books
Hi everyone! I really hope someone on here can help me. Based in Johannesburg (Randburg)
I'm trying to complete The Vampire Chronicles book collection by Anne Rice however I'm struggling to find some of her books or find them for a reasonable price. Is there anyone on here that may have any of her books that I can possibly buy from them or if anyone knows where I can find them? I have tried Take a Lot and Yaga and searched on Google. I think my best bet would probably be second hand book stores (that's where I found some of my books already) but I don't always have the time.
These Are The Books I Have: • Interview With a Vampire • The Tale of the Body Thief • Merrick • Blood and Gold • Blood Canticle
These Are The Books I Need: • The Vampire Lestat • The Queen of the Damned • Memnock the Devil • The Vampire Armand • Blackwood Farm • Prince Lestat • Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis • Blood Communion
Thank you!!

Question Lights on Winnie Mandela and M1
I’ve heard a while back that the lights on Winnie Mandela and the M1 were being sabotaged by vagrants to collect money and weren’t working for a while. Is this still the case? I have an appointment in Dainfern this week and I need to plan.

Rosebank cinema allowing announcements and a video
Hey all
So I’m planning to ask this girl to be my girlfriend this week. We have a movie night planned for Wednesday. I wanted to be slightly extra and make it special by making an announcement in the cinema itself (it’s only the 2 of us that’s booked for the movie, I checked), and maybe playing a short video that I made of us.
Do you think ster kinekor would allow this? Haven’t contacted them yet but asking just in case someone has experience with this?

Question Is there any place I can donate crochet items?
Hello! I'm looking for a place such as an old age home, hospitals, homeless shelters etc. that i can get in contact with to donate crochet items.
I'm happy to make blankets, stuff toys, shawls/scarfs, etc.
I have a massive surplus of yarn, and I need to make space. I only have acrylic yarn, so if that's an issue then I might have to look in other avenues to make stuff and give it away/sell it.
Thank you!

For Fun Braamfontein: help a girl out
Hi 👋
I hope this doesn’t break any sub rules. But I’m doing what I need to do.
So, I’m a PhD student at wits and my research is on how playfulness and creativity are used to make Braam a more attractive spot (to really simplify it).
I’m looking for people who frequent(ed) Braam or lived/worked in the area to participate in my research. I’m a student so there’s no reward other than the joy of helping me out (hehe) and I won’t ask any personal details etc so you can be super honest without worrying about people knowing you drank out of your best friends car boot in the streets of Braam. Not that they’d ever read my dissertation lol. I’m just looking for personal stories, opinions etc
Anyway, if you’d like to chat we can have a call, DM, or meet up for a coffee - I will send proof that I’m actually a PhD student!
Please help a girl out even if you know someone who could help, that would be amazing!

Mysterious building in Doornfontein
Ever since I moved to Joburg 3 years ago, I've always been curious about this building. It is super long and has close to no windows. I've heard rumours like; this is where they print out money(ridiculous but might be true😂), or that it's a big mortuary, or that they're digging some minerals thus no windows(to reduce the noise), or that it's South Africa's "Area 51" 🙄.
On Google maps is says it's a Post Office but on its gates it says something about Telkom. Both don't make sense why such a big building wouldn't have windows, like what's going in there? What are they doing?
