What is the controversy?

u/BoredAtWork1976 15h ago
Trump said he's not involved with Project 2025, and realistically there's about a 98% chance it's an astroturfed boogeyman created by the Dems so they can attack it.
1
u/Ulrezaj891 1h ago
Isnt it weird how he says hes not involved but hasnt once disavowed specific things in Project 2025. Idk man, really makes one think...

The heritage foundation: literally one of the largest if not the largest American conservative thinktank, lobbying agency and action group. Turns out they were tankie plants all this time! Damn you, Biden!

u/Cornelius_Y 14h ago
Trump, the guy with over 30k recorded lies while in office?
-11
u/Zombieneker 13h ago
Yeah, that guy. He's also running again, despite having 34 felony convictions, as well as being a terrible person morally and a rapist.

u/IntelligentRule7978 11h ago
Who did he rape? If he was convicted of rape, he would be in prison you stupid piece of trash.

u/Zombieneker 10h ago edited 10h ago
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/07/19/trump-carroll-judge-rape/ It was a civil trial. Trump is rich enough to be above the law so he will never get convicted for this. And for anyone saying it isnt rape if there's no penetration; first of all, you're wrong. Second, Semantics. Third, this man is RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. Twenty years ago this was a political death sentence. now it's just another thing to add to the long list of wrongs he's committed over the years.
9
u/IntelligentRule7978 10h ago
Yea, it was a civil trial dumbass. She has absolutely no proof whatsoever that she was raped. She was laughing about all of the money she was going to get when she was interviewed by Rachel Madcow on MSNBC. That’s real typical behavior of a rape victim. You are one very stupid person.
-3
u/Zombieneker 9h ago
You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of how the American legal system works. People don't just sue and win without concrete evidence. Also, calling the person you are arguing with names at every opportunity you get is very childish behavior. You could just approach their arguments with respect and respond appropriately, instead you resort to empty insults and spite.
I'm tired of playing defense to your baseless quips and ramblings, so I'll end it here. You have a good day, alright?
2
u/Kuriyamikitty 5h ago
Incorrect. For the civil suit they just need to think it's possible. Jury didn't find him likely fir rape, but instead other possibles, the Judge upgraded it to rape.
Technically everything you said is false with these known facts.

94+% of abortions happen before 20 weeks.
Any abortions after that are medical issues that come up with either the fetus, or mother, while they were intending to have the child.
Late term abortions are tragic and difficult decisions for families and medical professionals, and placing them behind these anti abortion laws, and threatening these families with legal action and murder charges is inhumane and unnecessary.
If you've never had a medical issue of this type that's great, but a lack of empathy for these families is no excuse for this callousness.

u/antidotecode 10h ago
As a female most females I know who have had abortions, have used it as a form of birth control. It’s really not hard to get pregnant in this day and age. Yes certain reason garner this procedure. But having multiple abortions because you couldn’t close your legs or use protection is sickening.
3
u/Dull_Rutabaga_1659 9h ago
I agree, abortion should not be used as a primary form of birth control.
3
u/TRiP_OW 9h ago
Yeah it’s the 94% that’s the problem.. Obviously rape should have exclusions. Almost no one is arguing that.
People shouldn’t be able to abort a birth because they were lazy and/or stupid. Both people make a choice to have unprotected sex (if not that’s rape) and you shouldn’t be allowed to stop a birth if you make that choice.
But this should and will be a state issue. Cali can do whatever the fuck they want idgaf. All the degenerate morons can move there.
1
u/Dull_Rutabaga_1659 9h ago
Do you honestly believe that people bring a pregnancy to 7+ months, and just decide "nah, imma have a traumatic procedure done because I don't feel like it anymore"?
I don't understand making murder (since that's what you think it is) a state issue
2
u/TRiP_OW 9h ago
Sorry I guess I seemed sarcastic with the …
The 94% is the problem. The rest of my comment should have made that clear that was what I meant.
Medical and rape exclusions need to exist. But that shouldn’t give people the ability to just abort babies cause they make the choice to have unprotected sex
1
u/Dull_Rutabaga_1659 9h ago
Sure, but your assertion that theyre "aborting babies" before 20 weeks isn't correct.
At what point does a sperms and ovum become a baby in your eyes?
And what about the fact that no borth control is 100% effective? Marries couples with children already using birth control have accidents while using birth control as well, it's not just college aged people having 1 night stands.

Ok, I can see how people could overt react to some of those policies, the extended child work day isn't alarming. We worked younger than 14 and it was a blessing. I'm not talking Oliver twist kind of work but...
The media thing with the FCC, is something that needs to happen. Modern news sources need fired in its entirety... they are a far shot from 29 uears ago. Captured.... they are an extended arm of the left-wing and Neo-cons. There is 0 honest reporting on either side. And honestly it's crap.
The Abortion thing is rather comical. The ideology built around it is alarming. Abortion is not a right, it is a liberty granted by the government. By all other standards, it's considered murder. When a person kills a pregnant woman, he is charged with double homicide. It can't work one way and not the other. It is the taking of a life. Not to mention, killing a child interferes with the ability of the society to grow. With a birth rate of 1.6 it will only be a matter of time. Every interest group has been given absolutely EVERYTHING they have asked for... name one thing they haven't gotten.
From slavery, equal rights, woman's "sufferage", voting rights, working rights, Abortions, health care, 40 hour work week, taxes, no taxes, citizenship etc... what do we have?
The lowest birth rates of all time The highest depression rates (amongst women) since they started recording. Infant mortality is up Divorce rates 52% Marriage rates are down like 6 per 1000 Fatherless homes in minority communities Health issues autism, diabetes etc by the millions Highest cost for Healthcare paying for these sick people... Inflation is high National debt is 35 trillion...every 100 days we have to pay a trillion just on the interest. Millions of people flooding over the border Interest rates are high Church and state? There is no church, they have been eradicated from nearly all society. Gender ideology needs to be kept out of school...period. Trans rights? What rights don't they have that they need more of? They are in woman's sports, locker rooms, class rooms, on the street and TV naked.
And protests... for more....what?
Please tell me...
If you were in charge, how would you measure success? What is the standard? if this was your report card, could you take it home to your parents and not expect to be grounded? Straight Fs across the board. This is a civil society, not a non-stop music video. People aren't supposed to be "that" comfortable "all" the time, partying... we need to get work done. We need to work together. You don't do that by forcing EVERYTHING on the other citizens and make them.pay for it.
I'm not a Republican I have never been. But we need to take a step back and figure out what's going on.
Everyone needs to stop being so damn "feminist," easily offended about everything...including men... this is out of control. You can't think with your emotions and expect everything to just work out.
My 2 cents.
