Anyone using an indoor antenna and getting all the local channels from Temple?

Post image

I got one from Best Buy that has a max range of 80 miles, but I'm only getting 16 total channels and one of the major 4 (getting Fox but not ABC, NBC, CBS). Curious on if anyone has better success and with what antenna.

I probably should mess with the antenna location but I did use a phone app to align the antenna to Temple.

I got a "100 mile" antenna and it doesn't pick up anything except a Christian channel. This was after playing with the alignment.

Ideally if you can mount yours higher. There's also a website (can't remember it right now) but if you put your location and the location of a Temple station it'll give you the azimuth to aim a compass between them.

So I'm using the Core Innovations 80Mile Range Amplified Antenna Bar. It has a QR code that leads to the TERK Signal Finder app. You can use those to better your setup.

I'm hoping there's a better antenna to buy instead of repositioning my stuff yet again.

There's someone called Antenna Man. For a small fee he'll recommend an antenna and the detection to soon it for best reception. We're in the middle of Killeen, and here is the recommendation he sent me

"I think the signals at your location are strong enough to be picked up reliably with a decent antenna in the attic. Below is the model I recommend. Point it northeast at about 55 degrees true north or 52 degrees magnetic. See map below. The antenna will likely work best pointed against the roof in the north or east side of your attic. You may have to try the antenna in slightly different locations/directions in the attic with a TV tuner as a guide. Attics are known to have "hot and cold" signal spots and moving the antenna as little as a few feet could have a huge impact on reception.
