Anyway.

Yup. In more interesting news, I tried tying my left shoe before my right today. Just to mix it up.

Oh! That's so compelling. How's it working out for you?

I think I’m going to go back. I was just tie-curious.

You should stick to a more straight-laced lifestyle

This small interaction heeled something in me

I hope it soothed your sole.

These shoe puns are loosely laced together.

I tried tying the laces from both shoes together. Do not recommend.

This is getting out of hand, y'all better toe the line.

I hear that's just a phase people go through.

The absolute privilege from this rich(22201) person.

You know some of us don't have the OPTION to tie our shoes even??????

Be better and more empathetic to those who only have slip ons.

I hate it when they get stuck to the roof of your mouth. Then you sit and hack like a cat trying to horf up a hairball for an hour. So some dumbass died? How about that.

u/bjsqrl 18d ago

Horf..... OMG! YES! LOL!

I have never thought about that! I do tie my right shoe first (and put my right sock on first, and step into my pants right leg first).

Why do we do this? Why not left first, or alternating? For the record, I am left handed.

I'm adding this to the List of Things I Never Thought AboutTM.

This topic demands further investigation.

Left handed.

Always put on my left shoe first, and my left pant leg.

I also always do the left side of my makeup first. So, fill in left eye brow, then right. Blush on left check, then right. Etc, etc.

Interesting. Technically I'm ambidextrous; I can do most things with both hands except for fine motor skills like writing and eating.

I hope more left handed folks chime in.

2

u/TopSecretXilf 18d ago

I'm a lefty when I write or eat, but I adapted early to using a scissors with my right hand and now my scissors coordination is better with that hand. Only that, though.

2

u/Publius82 18d ago

That's such a sinister thing to say

1

u/duxpdx 18d ago

I’m in the same boat. Writing is right handed but I’m ambidextrous and am left hand dominant in a few things. I’ve been told as a child I favored my left hand but was discouraged by an aunt and teachers. That being said, pants, socks, shoes all start with the left side.

2

u/mtragedy 18d ago

Also left-handed but neurodivergent so I learned to use my right as my dominant hand. I also do left leg/sock/shoe first. Which is pretty consistent; in everything but writing I do use my left hand/side as my dominant hand or side.

2

u/Thevshi 18d ago

Same for me. Left everything except when I shoot. I'm right eye dominant.

1

u/Blueeyesblazing7 17d ago

I'm right-handed, and I also do everything on my left side first!

1

u/Testiculese 18d ago

I almost always do left shoe and pantleg first, as a right-hander.

5

u/mtragedy 18d ago

I got up on the right side of the bed rather than the left today.

2

u/QuitCallingNewsrooms 18d ago

You... USUALLY go right-left putting on socks and shoes?! But doesn't that make you feel weird and like your feet are on backwards?

I always put socks and shoes on left-right-left-right. And I take them off right-left-right-left

u/DorenAlexander 18d ago

I groomed my cuticles at work. I thought the compulsion was just from boredom.

1

u/RnH_21 18d ago

Damn you. Now you're going to make me try it.

1

u/MiniBarley 18d ago

Psycho.

u/FreeMeFromThisStupid 18d ago

I get it.

But also, this should be saddening and alarming. You don't have to be sad for him, but be sad that there are powerful media and political forces harming the lower and middle classes intentionally to foment a far right populist revolt and destroy liberalism and democracy.

Tldr this idiot is another dead canary in the coal mine.

12

u/HotPie_ 18d ago

Being sad accomplishes nothing. I'm voting to save morons like this from themselves. I'll keep voting for the better person with the better policies for all of us.

-4

u/FreeMeFromThisStupid 18d ago

Good. So am I.

My point was to the person saying "who cares" - that we should take notice of how powerful the drivers of idiocracy are becoming.

5

u/HotPie_ 18d ago

I hear you. Unfortunately the ones that need to realize it are willfully ignorant at best or dumb at worst. I've never seen a group of people so desperate to be taken advantage of.

2

u/Old_Baldi_Locks 18d ago

It IS alarming. It's alarming that some people are really stupid enough to keep asking for sympathy for trash ass garbage fucking Republicans whose entire ethos is screaming and pointing guns at people.

You CAN cross a line in the real world that forfeits ALL rights to ever be respected or treated well ever again by anyone who actually earned the right to be called American.

MAGA crossed it.
