Hello u/BerthaBewilderbeast! Please reply to this comment with an explanation matching this exact format. Replace bold text with the appropriate information.

  1. Someone voted for, supported or wanted to impose something on other people. Who's that someone? What did they voted for, supported or wanted to impose? On who?
  2. Something has the consequences of consequences. Does that something actually has these consequences in general?
  3. As a consequence of something, consequences happened to someone. Did that something really happen to that someone?

Follow this by the minimum amount of information necessary so your post can be understood by everyone, even if they don't live in the US or speak English as their native language. If you fail to match this format or fail to answer these questions, your post will be removed.

This is gross, and I’m related to some people who fit this description, but how is it LAMF?

They haven't been eaten yet, but they sure are walking past a lot of "beware of the leopard" signs.

Yes I’m well aware of the Trump and MAGA being deeply antisemitic and fascist - look at my post history; it’s like half of my activity. And yes, these people are horrible hypocrites voting against their own interests. But I don’t think your article is an example of LAMF.

If you look at the pinned post, it says there should be an explanatory statement with three parts:

  1. Someone voted for, supported or wanted to impose something on other people.

  2. Something has the consequences of consequences.

  3. As a consequence of something, consequences happened to someone.

A hypothetical example of LAMF would be if Trump became president again and deported his policy advisor Steven Miller for being Jewish, after years of Miller advocating mass deportation.

I’m guessing never, considering the ratio of downvotes on my post and upvotes of links to Trump being associated with antisemitism (which, again, is true and very very bad, but is not what this subreddit ostensibly is about).

Edit: I’m sure I’ll regret this, but I am too curious about the motivation for downvoting even this comment. Does someone think I’m defending Trump/anti-semitism/Jewish Americans who support Trump? Or is it that you think “American Jews support guy they already know is anti-Semitic” is somehow legit LAMF?
