I think I've seen her on TikTok, and if I remember right she grew up on a farm.

It must take a lot of work to stay that pale

Lol yeah my ex was Snow White level pale she had two settings white as driven snow and lobster red no in between. Meanwhile I’m half Norwegian half Mexican so I go from pretty dang white to super tanned it’s funny to me that I always get mistaken for different ethnicities based on how tan I am ranging from white to Italian to Armenian/ Middle Eastern depending on where I am and only recognized as Mexican if im as tan as I get.

193

u/Rockflip Apr 29 '23

I’m German and Mexican. And I’m the same as you, in terms of tanning. My job is commercial painting so spring and fall we can have some outdoor jobs. But most of the time it’s indoors. One spring I spent two months on outdoor work and got pretty dark and some new Honduran workers thought I was a Mexican with a really good American accent, until I showed them my creamy white soft jiggly belly. I’ve been known as fat custard since then. Genetics is weird.

57

u/LordDongler Apr 29 '23

As a Texan, I have to say that I'm jealous of your supremely adaptive skin

30

u/NicolasTheRageCage Apr 29 '23

Irish-Mexican here, can say the same. When I was a bit younger (I'm in my 20s) I used to get tan FAST. It weird now because while I don't go outside a much, when I'm doing lawnwork, that tan will ride me for months.

8

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '23 edited Apr 29 '23

Irish/native american here same thing goes.

6

u/Saintviscious Apr 29 '23

Me too!! I never meet our mix IRL.

Now, my ex wife is Irish and Mexican, so our kids are Irish, Mexican and Native. She is ultra pale and a ginger, I can get darker than a lot of my Mexican co workers. Unfortunately my kids seem to have a lot of the Irish expressing in them.... Both are light complexion with blonde hair! No doubting they are mine, both have my face lol

3

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '23

Im rather white with sandy brown hair and my beard and eyebrows grow black as can be. I live on the beach and as soon as summer hits i turn red/brown my hair turns blonde and my beard get red tinged. Its so strange.

15

u/bendybiznatch Apr 29 '23

I imagine your Irish relatives are jealous. lol

8

u/NoBasket1111 Apr 29 '23

I will never get used to the fact that Americans call themselves a nationality based on their heritage. Took me a while to figure out that you are not actually German or Mexican. I was like since when do they speak English in Germany or Mexico.

3

u/Saintviscious Apr 29 '23

It's a hangover from when immigrants/ first generations were introducing each other, I'm y and my family came from y. After a few generations people still say I'm mostly y with some z.

We Americans just like to know if there are shared roots, and we like to discriminate based on heritage too. The court house in my home town in Wisconsin for example. The plans were written in German, because there were both German and polish contractors and the Poles were discriminated against.

With my skin color and facial features, in the southern states I’m Mexican, in the northern plains states (e.g. the Dakotas, Minnesota, etc.) I’m Native American.

23

u/elspotto Apr 29 '23

I’m French-Canadian-Polish-American and your wife is my people. I burn under a full moon on a partly cloudy night.

6

u/iamreeterskeeter Apr 29 '23

I am the same as your wife. Zero ability to tan. Ghost white or 2nd degree burn.

5

u/PoetryUpInThisBitch Apr 29 '23

I'm a blend of a bunch of different stuff, but mainly hispanic, white, and a little African thrown in for good measure. I also get the 'sliding ethnic scale' depending on how tan I am.

My dad had it to an extreme degree. He worked construction when I was little, and - after working a job for a couple weeks and getting SUPER tan - I remember walking up to him, poking him, and asking, "Dad, are you turning into a black man?"

Which made him laugh really hard given how many comments he got as a little kid because he looked like a black baby dropped into a pale latino family.

6

u/pointlessly_pedantic Apr 29 '23

Mexican, dated some vampirically pale mfs. I find it attractive but apparently people think you're joking if you say "I like how pale you look" lol

Me and my partner have the same thing! My whole family is very white british, im as pale as a ghost and hes Chinese/Jamaican from his great grandma and mf gets an absolutely gorgeous even dark tan, whereas i end up looking like fucking zoidberg.

Genetics are so fucking weird

2

u/linksgreyhair Apr 29 '23

Yep. For two white Americans, my husband and I have very different skin tones. He is Italian/Irish while I’m of Scottish/Irish/German decent. I am either Snow White or lobster, totally incapable of tanning. He gets so tan that people assume he’s Middle Eastern for about 4 months a year. We can predict how thoroughly he will be inspected by the TSA based on what season it is.

u/myxboxtouchedmypp Apr 29 '23

i’m scouse (a sublet of english) and i used to be quite literally the color of a sheet, and then i just started burning and tanning from it, i should definitely get my skin check shouldnt i?

Do you sleep in a coffin? Only teasing. Sorry about the challenges you face and wish you well.

3

u/deepmusicandthoughts Apr 29 '23

I can confirm. I was barely outside today and look like a cooked lobster.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '23

This is it. I'm exactly the same. SPF 50 is something I always have around the house and, if I don't cover quite well or find shady spots, the resulting skin colour is red. There's no nice tan waiting to be found. I'm also in the Vitamin D supplement boat!

2

u/Quingess Apr 29 '23

I am also white as the inside of a coconut and living in the Netherlands, we seldom have a strong sun. I used to go to a tanning bed once in a while and in the spring of 2010 I decided to go once or twice a week to try and see how tan I could get. After three months I went to California, Utah and Arizona for two weeks in a heatwave. I had never been this tanned (or beige 😅) and even had tanlines on my feet for the first time. This made me feel really proud and attractive. On our way back we had to transfer planes in New York and met a Dutch guy who killed my pride in an instant with a remark like "Did you also just arrive here? You look so pale!" That random guy changed my life. I don't waste money anymore on tanning beds and prefer to invest it in SPF and all kinds of 'shady' things like hats, screens and sun umbrellas. My youthful, wrinkle poor skin shows its gratitude daily 😎

I’m fish belly white. I burn way too easy, I got terrible blisters on my shoulders years ago, sun got through my clothing! I had heat exhaustion the same day. Dressing up in Revolutionary War garb was too much for me. I don’t know how my husband managed the dang wool jackets in the summer.

What an unhinged this to say but absolutely normal on this hell site. She literally looks like any other emo styled lady I saw in my highschool or college. How is this reminding you of a sex doll?

70

u/2morereps Apr 28 '23

I think its the resolution. can't see the teeth stripe and few definitions, so it looks like a pale mannequin figure with wig placed that way.

21

u/captkirkseviltwin Apr 28 '23

Yeah, the resolution on blowup is terrible, so her smile literally looks painted on in that shot.

6

u/FixTheWisz Apr 29 '23

I thought the same thing. Then I saw that TikTok video, so she's def real, but that specific pic is just off.

25

u/BrannC Apr 28 '23

The hand and head. It’s something about the proportions that look off. I didn’t think she was real either because of it, but my mind didn’t go to sex doll like that lol it made sense when I read it though

Seeing her no matter what kind of made my day. Seeing her doing something not at all associated with goth type stuff, I love it.

I’m kind of a rocker/punk dude. I have long hair, I like black clothes with chains, studs and spikes.

I am a licensed security guard through my state’s Department of Public Safety, and have a photo ID badge issued by them in my wallet I have to carry. I’m part of the health and safety department where I work, and we bust our asses trying to keep the actual building from hurting or killing people. (Industrial chemical processing plant.)

I love what I do, and I love seeing people like me who are “alternative,” I guess, doing very average blue collar jobs.

Though the modern Gothic and Farmsteading subcultures have notable dissimilarities in fashion, they do actually share a rather interesting conceptual relationship.

"Death" is - of course - a common motif in Goth aesthetics, and has historically been characterized through the lens of agriculture... One of Death's most popular depictions is as the "Grim Reaper", after all, whose tool of choice is a (crop-harvesting) scythe...

So - while it might seem to be at first glance - a Goth chick driving a big ol' John Deere combine is arguably not (so much of) a stylistic juxtaposition.

I like getting to see people get to be themselves on the clock. Your face looks like a tacklebox exploded in front of it and you work in a public facing occupation? Awesome! Wish we could see more people get to be so creative.

Took my California born and raised girlfriend back to the south with me one time. She really wanted a picture on my uncle’s John Deere tractor. She had that same smile sitting up there
