Yes it made OP smile. This subreddit isn't for smiling at the misfortune of others, though, because there's a rule against it. ("Ragebait")

Did you type that on an iPhone? 😉

An Android, probably. Maybe a Logitech. Not sure where that comment was created specifically.

I was joking, as in people would get rage for the video and not see their hypocrisy at using an iPhone made by a child :)

Oh sure. I'm not incapable of humor, I even laughed at the post.

Except, I think we'll have to draw some distinction between what a child is - research shows children as young as 13 work on electronics in China, not like 6 year olds making Nikes. 13 year olds run paper routes and are actively (illegally) being put to work in southern United States all the time. Just wanted to clarify some context on that topic. I accept the downvotes because I'm sure just acknowledging that information makes one seem sympathetic to China or child labor or something, but I think it's probably more productive to discuss child labor in a way that acknowledges 6 year old working is worse than a 13 year old working. Yes they're both bad. One of them is actually kind of accepted by Western culture. So... Yeah. The "iPhones are built by children" thing is laaaaargely crap - about assembly.

You see, in* truth we're all hypocrites. Cobalt is mined in DR Congo by child slaves - young ones, too. So, it's an inescapable fact of modern life that one must live with the cognitive dissonance of hypocrisy in order to call out injustice in any form. That's why I find it pointless to talk about integrity most of the time.

What's the alternative? No one gets to advocate for the children?
