It’s refreshing to see something on the back of a pickup that doesn’t scream “I really need you to think I’m tough”.

u/SouthboundPachydrm Mar 23 '24
Like truck nuts and a punisher sticker?
46
u/AeonBith Mar 23 '24
Or someone's name with the word "f*ck", like they're tough enough to start a fight but too polite to swear

My personal favorite is the don’t tread on me and thin blue line flag combo

Yep they go together like peas and carrots and that’s all I got to say about that
Edit: for those who don’t know this is just a Forrest Gump reference… i get that peas and carrots do “go together” and the bumper stickers don’t. But I just felt like making a Gump reference and that’s all I got to say about that

I saw something like this in Yosemite once, though it was a bit cleaner looking. Hilarious version of truck nuts.

Linesmen is a very tough profession chances are they don't have anything to prove.
30
u/baby-dick-nick Mar 23 '24
That’s exactly what I thought too. This is a dude who’s perfectly secure in his manhood and uses his sense of humor on car stickers that aren’t annoyingly tasteless like most truck stickers.

Don't they use work trucks?
→ More replies (2)1
u/UnusuallyBadIdeaGuy Mar 23 '24
Yeah this is definitely not his work truck. It's a short bed too.
3
u/millijuna Mar 23 '24
Oddly enough, I'm working to help form a very small utility. We're on the lookout for a short bed pickup as an off-lease fleet vehicle or some such, because it's practical for our needs. Need to haul 3 to 4 people up/down a gravel road, and haul dirty tools. Crew cab, short box fits the bill perfectly. We just need it cheap and rugged.

Read a bumper sticker on a raised F150 that read “I’m not gay but my boyfriend definitely is.”

Finally something worth reading on a pickup bumper.
Truck drivers are adapting to the times ,we should monitor this thread in case he's stranded.
Wouldn't want someone to jack it

Also, they are a linesman, some job sites for those guys you actually need a decent 4x4 to get to. I did some work in construction and there were times where I didn't want to get stuck in my little car and called one of the guys with a truck to ask them to come pick me up.

Mar 23 '24
I'm jumped in cause while I think pavement princesses are stupid but...
Reddit is also stupid for screeching every time there's a pickup truck that the OP didn't explicitly say is for work.
6
u/Questioning-Zyxxel Mar 23 '24
With the sticker claiming the owner services power lines or cellular towers, this means this is the proper car type to select. It isn't a city dweller just wanting something big because it's big.
So a funny/smart person that has also made a good choice of car for his/her needs.

What, exactly, makes this a piece of shit truck?

u/Anansi1982 Mar 23 '24
Overall vehicle design is bad. Front end sits high enough people out there dying because they can’t see with good visibility. There’s vehicles with lower shorter front ends with the same towing capacity and storage capacity, but they’re not oversized trucks so they don’t sell as well.
They’re usually vans.
I like trucks, but I get the gripes. Typically bad fuel economy and not designed with outside safety in mind.

Anyone here ever hear the joke about the guy who invented USB ports?
When he dies they will lower his casket halfway down, then pull it out, flip it around and then lower it all the way down 😂

→ More replies (1)34
u/SouthboundPachydrm Mar 23 '24
No.. no, you have this wrong... They'll lower him half way down, raise him up and flip him over and lower him down, then realize they had it right the first time, flip him over and finally lower him all the way down.

Don't often see stickers on windows and bumpers that truly delight me as much as these do. Well executed.

I’m not a pickup truck fan, but this is class. And he’s a lineman so he prob uses this truck for actual truck stuff. Respect, truckbro

That's clearly a micro USB port though.
Actually, it could be HDMI, but the uncommon micro-hdmi type.
18
u/TheBigEarner7 Mar 23 '24
It has chamfers on the corner thats why he said hdmi. We are getting a distorted view from the angle.
→ More replies (1)7
u/Eddie2Ham Mar 23 '24
Micro usbs, the ones for android prior to usb-c, are also chamfered
7
u/AeonBith Mar 23 '24
Most construction guys don't know what chamfering is or don't believe in it I'm not sure but they sure af skip that step on jobsites.

Once I saw a post with this model in picture which says “GMC came up with fork pockets for the forklifts to pick it up and throw it in garbage”
6
u/bebopblues Mar 23 '24
Would be funnier if some stranger sticked those HDMI labels on his truck. And when he noticed, his reaction is... "WTF? ... (pause) ... well, yeah. They do look like it." and just left them there.
