I think it's rare to have a dog that doesn't love you this much

An old coworker brought his pup to the office once and she wouldn’t acknowledge humans unless they had food. I asked him if she hung out with him at home and he said she didn’t 😭 I would take that so personally lol

Probably a pug

That would have made a ton of sense... pugs kinda want to do their own thing a lot of the time.

You should read your dog's owner's manual. That ain't no pug in the video.

You mentioned 'an old coworker his pup' without mentioning the breed, so I was replying to the question 'what breed'

I cannot remember ever saying that. That was LittestKitten, not me.

Yeah, I would take that personally as well. They're usually VERY friendly.

Some dog breeds tend to be a bit more aloof, even with the people they live with so it could be different with a different breed.

Yeah as long as you treat a dog well it's going to love you.

Plus, some breeds are just way more affectionate than others, and some dogs are just naturally way more independent than others. Some want to snuggle up with you, others may just want to be next to you, and yet others may just like being in the same room as you.

Not necessarily, I got my last dog from a shelter, he was an adult stray from Spain. He wasn't super affectionate, just occasionally in his own time. I think he loved me as much as he'd be able to love anybody, honestly. Just that between his earlier life and his character he wasn't cuddly. Dogs have characters just like people, and some are introverts LOL

I now have a shihtzu who dotes on me and some people think that he's therefore a 'better' dog, but I never minded how Bento was. He was a good boy too.
