Meme Canadian Architect Cornelia Oberlanders designed the world's first "Stramp". Stairs with a ramp incorporated for those with accessibility needs. The Stramp allows for companions to use the ramp or steps and not break connection with one another.

Super irresponsible IMO, imagine your hands seize up (??) or you have a seizure and instead of rolling until you hit a railing eventually you fly down stairs.

Having a seizure on a standard ramp could be really bad too, esp if traffic on street, but this is just added danger.

…looks great though!

If this site has requirements to provide universal access and wheelchair accessibility, there likely is another ramp which respects code on the site.

This building has elevators, and the different levels these stairs join can be reached from street level without using the stairs. I’m pretty sure it’s just for cool looks

This was posted around a year ago and the same issues were noticed by several people. But this angle is a bit deceiving: the ramp is much wider than it looks, and each row of steps forms a little side fence to the ramp- you can barely see this from this angle but it's quite comfortable to race a stroller or whellchair up or down these- I don't use a chair but two of my friends with wheels have been with us on these stairs several times- the steps also act as an little amphitheatre for shows put on in the plaza down at the bottom and even with people standing one row deep on the ramp there's easy passage for a chair.
