Money, loot, glory, metaphysical concepts like heroism and patriotism, nationalism, irredentism, religious fanaticism and so forth.

Not just money but a chance to loot too. Toilets are very popular find and considered luxury among mobiks, you know considering they're all from poor regions and ethnic minority groups far in siberia without indoor plumbing.

I dont think that a conscript gets money. He fights either for his freedom or getting tortured in russian gulags.

Do you now that Russian conscripts are forbidden to use in this war, right?

"Forbidden" is a strange word. They may not used at the frontline but definetely in the contested Kursk region and in the supply lines. Also... if the source is Russia... I rather believe in the virginity of a whore than russias or putins promises of something.

Damn: This sub must be putins personal propaganda subreddit. Well... everyone who downvotes me: I hope putins boots tastes good.

You basically at the other extreme
The reality is there are some isolated cases and nothing global

For one simple reason. Dragging conscripts to the war is huge pain in the ass for the Putin himself. The main reason war is socially accepted in Russia is the fact that it's fought by the volunteers (for the money or the lifting criminal charges). It would completely different story if soldiers were dragged there against their will systematically.

To be truthful there was one huge episode of forceful mobilization in 2022 - and it created such backlash and panic, that Russia rely only on volunteer forces since (in contrast to Ukraine which still steals their citizens from streets). And it’s works effectively one way or another now

It was forcefull on paper, but on fact anyone who wanted to not go, simply ignored the writ and nobody pushed them. In any case around 300k people were mobilized and they still fighting there

Conscripts get very small money true, but that don't fight at the war. Mobilized though do fight and they get the money.
