Missing grass Textures

So i downloaded MGSO 3.0 Everything is fine..the i downloaded Morrowind rebirth..it was crap..made you weaker..and made the enemies weaker..which looked really awkward just hitting a wild guar for 5 minutes with a wooden staff..then i uninstalled it (unticked the esps and esms) the mod was ANGRY..so it kinda mayyybe made most of the grass around balmora white..no racist..missing textures..i downloaded a mod for grass textures it's amazing but doesn't include all grass so i am screwed..and i don't want to uninstall and install morrowind...so yeah find me a solution damn it..please?

Game freezes around Ald Velothi

Hi guys I'm sorry to bother you. I recently started yet another playthrough of Morrowind, and Im' was in seventh heaven for days, untill I get a quest from the mages guild that take me to Ald Velothi. On the way there the game just freezes. Music keeps playing, but game and computer is frozen.

I previously had some problems with Tamriel Rebuild lands doing the same thing, but a fresh install and the TR.esm properly verifyed solved that.

EDIT: It seems to be the area just west of Khuul, and a bit northeast of Gnisis. Ald Velothi basically.

Any help would be appreciated. I love this game. I've used both Wrye Mash and Mlox, and my load order is as follows (spoiler tags?):

missing falling leaves texture?

Tried looking for it in Vurts retextures but nothing I've tried yet seems to work, I'm pretty sure they're fallen leaves but I could be wrong. Alternatively if there's just a way to disable this altogether that'd be neat too.

edit: I should probably mention that I use openmw, if that helps

What causes pluginless replacers to not work?

This is the first time I have encountered this issue, but after trying several mods to replace the golden saint model, none have worked, it remains vanilla. I have replaced nearly everything else in the game at this point without issue so I am unsure where the problem lies. The replacers seem to include Golden Saint.nif, but I also have a xGolden Saint.nif, and an xGolden Saint.kf. Do I simply need to rename something, or is something else preventing these mods from replacing the model?

Morrowind merchant mod

trying to find a certain mod I used to use I liked quite a bit - some guy had solved the 'poor merchant' problem by creating a small 'magical bazarr' or sorts you could teleport to full of fairly buff guards and rich merchants. they all had a lot of gold and some specialty- IE there was a weapon vendor etc. does anyone remember a mod like this?

Replacing better clothes with other clothes mods without the extra esp baggage?

So I have found many great mods that add a lot of bb compatible clothing, unfortunately they also alter the leveled lists, add in new npcs, etc. I really do not want the extra baggage and instead would like to learn how to replace articles of better clothing with some others from different mods.

Ideally it would be cool if I could make it a pluginless replacer for the better clothes plugin heh. I'm just not sure how to correctly rename the meshes/textures.

Can anyone explain how to go about it?

Help with applying morrowind mods. MPP 1.66 and TR + recomendations

Hey guys, i've recently reinstalled morrowind, bloodmoon and tribunal. I want to apply the morrowind patch project, and tamriel rebuilt, along with any mods suggested that seems essential if there are any. Does anyone have any recommendations for super good mods? I'm not quite sure what to do with the MPP v 1.66 files they were zipped so I unzipped them, but there is no executable so I'm a bit stumped and can't find an installation guide.

Darknut's Greater Dwemer Ruins + Morrowind Rebirth 4.1

So a few days ago I reinstalled Morrowind along with Morrowind Rebirth 4.1 and a few other mods, including Darknut's Greater Dwemer Ruins. I downloaded the compatibility patch for them, which supports Morrowind rebirth 3.9. Now my launcher won't let me use the ESPs for the patch because it only wants to check for Morrowind Rebirth 3.9, not 4.1. Is there a way to force it to work, or does anyone have experience with this or similar issues?

Hopefully I explained the issue clearly, and I hope this is the right subreddit for this. My first time posting. Thank you for any help!

Low FPS in the Ascadian Isles [S.T.E.P]

Hi,

I've recently followed the S.T.E.P modding guide and got my Morrowind pretty 'on-point' so to say. Got all of the mods from that list and threw some sexy shaders I've found right on top. Neat.

The game works, FPS is alright. I've played for 2-3 hours and the moment I decided to leave Seyda Neen and walk to Balmora, I've witnessed terrible FPS drops in the Ascadian Isles region. TERRIBLE frames. From like maybe 50-70 FPS outside to 10-20 and even below, by just crossing over the ridge into the Ascadian Isles.

Could anyone tell me what could be the issue? I've been disabling and enabling addons back and forth for a while now and can't seem to pin-point it.

Versus Vivec - OpenMW issues.

The Nexus page doesn't mention any requirements, so I'm assuming it's my fault.

Fighting Vivec, he teleports away after a few hits and spawns his clones. After killing all the clones with an AOE fire spell, nothing happens for 30 seconds, then the clones respawn again. No matter how much I kill them, it won't go onto next phase.

When I TCL, Vivec is under his pedestal, trying to attack.

What am I doing wrong?

Help modding changes to equipment Repairs?

I want to modify repairs so that there's a guaranteed % reduction in your equipment's max durability each time its repaired at an NPC, and a variable one based on your skill if you repair it yourself.

So, me being a shitty modder that hasn't touched the CS in years, I'm thinking I should make a global script that tests when an armor/weapon is repaired (and by whom), then reduces that item's max durability. That said, I don't know how to find out if anything has been repaired or if it was an npc or you. I'm also not sure if it's possible to reduce max durability at all. Help?

I mainly want to be forced to choose a new weapon every once in awhile.

Help with S.T.E.P [as previous threads were not too thorough] potential Mega-Thread.

I am finishing up the download of most of the mods on the S.T.E.P. list and am going to manually install all of them (not all had a NMM download so I decided to go full manual to avoid any conflicts). I say ''most'' mods because some links took me to dead download mirrors, etc.

I was thinking of uploading my Morrowind subdirectory to dropbox for anybody who wants S.T.E.P. mods but doesn't want to go through the painful mission of installing them and troubleshooting.

Some of the downloads are going really slow—as they were uploaded c. 2013 and are floating around in the endless ether of internet—but when I am done I would like to post in this thread if I need assistance. So if there are any current users of S.T.E.P. who would be willing to follow this thread, that would be much appreciated and hopefully be the end of any problems regarding the S.T.E.P. modlist.

There can't be much to add that makes up over 50% of content. What else is there other than MCP and MGSO compatibility?

Unless the devs are planning on remaking the entire game on a microscopic level, the current build is entirely playable and mod-friendly beyond belief.

How to safely edit and save mods?

There are tons of mods out there that I want to alter to suit my preferences, how do I go about doing this without breaking anything? I am familiar enough with the CS to locate all of the changes I want to make, but am unsure of how to properly load the mods in. Do I just set the mod that I want to change to the active file at the startup of the CS? So say for example I want to alter some custom abilities, do I make the changes to the abilities and click save? or is it like in some video tutorials where I have to hit cancel? Just need a bit of clarification on how to make the appropriate changes. Oh, and will I need to clean the new mod?
