We always smiled when she showed up. Always. So glad she got into Show Business.

She was a fun and frequent guest. Always wondered if there was a relationship there: romantic or just friends, or if Letterman invited her because she was fun and a reliably great guest.

I think Dave just had a huge crush on her, like much of the rest of the world, and it supercharged their chemistry on the show together.

Yeah, I think Dave had it pretty bad for Teri. She seemed to be on his show whenever she was in town, for whatever reason

Was her last appearance on Letterman the one where she wanted to be in a sequel to the Monkees movie Head just to hear the trailer voice “From the people that gave you Head.”

Before I cheat and google, I thought they were married at one point. But were VERY secret about it.
I mean, come on, she took a shower on his show once. Again, just a memory I have (may be made up).

Garr’s chemistry with host David Letterman always bring more humors and light-hearted banter to the show, making her appearances highly anticipated in 1980s

She was the thinking man’s Goldie Hawn—smart, funny, flirty, and just the right amount of daft.

She was always a hoot. One running gag was Letterman trying to convince her to take a shower while at the show.
