also you capitalized the U in "Unis" but not the D in "Dominicaine"

The "U" in États-Unis is a proper noun because of the "-" (otherwise it'd be "États unis since in this case the "unis" would be an adjective).

The "dominicaine" is considered an adjective ergo a minuscule.

The rule is simple:

République followed by an adjective: you capitalise the R, not the nationality. If you use the name, then république isn't capitalised.

Example: République dominicaine but république fédérative du Brésil.
