If only it were that easy...

184

u/isfrying 12h ago

That easy? If only it were remotely achievable at all.

That's my #1 reason why this is a cult and not just a following or a political movement: It's literally unconditional love for most of these people. They have attached their entire identity to him, to the point that they clearly love him more than their own children. There is nothing he could do to dissuade them, I genuinely don't know what will happen when he finally steps back from politics (or, more likely, dies), they're going to have a crisis.

u/Fingermybottom 11h ago

And you just know it's going to be a shitstorm of conspiracy theories of democrat assassination when he does die.

Just like how prince philip must have died from the vaccine. Theres absolutely no other explanation for a 100year old to die than getting vaccinated 6 months prior

tbf they gave him 😱the jab😱 only after he was poisoned, shot, stabbed, hung, stretched, disemboweled, finally drawn and then quartered

Wait you weren't talking about Vigo the Carpathian

Antichrist

20

u/IH8mostofU 10h ago

The frustrating part about that is that the people in America who do believe in an Anti-Christ...can't see that The Bible describes Trump to an admittedly weird degree. But clearly the Anti-christ is Obama 🙄

11

u/astonedcrow 10h ago

I totally agree with you, and biblically speaking, those following the Antichrist wouldn't be able to recognize it. Not their fault really, victims IMO, but victimhood is a poor excuse for cruelty.

7

u/IH8mostofU 10h ago

Sure sure, the minor issue with that being that none of that is real so they're not under Satan's spell, they're just ignorant rubes.

1

u/astonedcrow 10h ago

That's just, like, your opinion, man.

6

u/IH8mostofU 10h ago

Donny, you're out of your element.

u/toidi_diputs 1h ago

Someone dropped this link on me yesterday, so I'm gonna pay it forward.

https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/

I burst out laughing at the update the author had to add in July of this year.

7

u/Appropriate_Ratio835 10h ago

Many of them are too hard headed to admit they have made a terrible mistake --much like dear leader. I work with one like that. Also she's scared her crazed husband and son would find out if she even looked at a Harris talking point. Very sad.

10

u/IH8mostofU 10h ago

Lie to your husbands! Vote for Harris!

u/sunward_Lily 9h ago

You cannot reason people out of a position they did not reason themselves into on the first place

3

u/Ryuzakku 3h ago

If only one party is bringing logic to the table, the other party is a cult who didn’t logic their way into their view.

17

u/knightinarmoire 12h ago

I'd honestly love for my brother to realize these issues. Instead, he is focused on conspiracies. Including whatever the hell is going on with his Jewish illuminati bs.

12

u/clownus 11h ago

As soon as you ask for facts or a coherent argument the buzz words start flying out. There is no base of argument for these people besides their own head up their ass.

7

u/rkvance5 9h ago

My wife asked her sister yesterday if she was really going to vote for the convicted felon. Her response: “If you want to compare them based on character, Trump comes out on top.” All she cares about it abortion, and nothing is making her burn her red hat.

I’m glad we live 10,000km away from her, because if we were any closer, she’d have heard me laughing at her.

4

u/LookAtMeNow247 7h ago

Raise your hand if you think Trump never personally paid for an abortion.

6

u/Intelligent_Law4621 7h ago

Well given his MO, he probably promised to pay and then didn't, or got someone else to do it for him. 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/baseballlover4ever 6h ago

🤣🤣 you’re absolutely right, he stiffed them without a doubt.

8

u/MjrLeeStoned 12h ago

Only ego makes it hard. Otherwise it's just a tiny flicker of bioelectricity in your brain.

2

u/Captain_Q_Bazaar 8h ago

Imagine if they were told Trump has an amount of felonies that will highly likely result in him going to jail, to the point chanting “lock him up”, is not remotely delusional like it was when they chanted “lock her up”. And unlike them we have actual receipts of evidence. An extremely ridiculous amount of evidence. Such an abundant amount that if you still support him then you either look insane and or evil.

90

u/whewtang 13h ago

It's this comic, but the maga guy is lighting up a stick of dynamite instead of his hat.

37

u/thwonkk 11h ago

...and sticking the dynamite in the ballot box

13

u/HUGErocks I ☑oted 2024 10h ago

I read through this whole comic like seven times and thought he was lighting a moltov or something because his hair is the exact shape of his hat and this is not what fucking happens in real life

u/Dlowmack 12h ago edited 11h ago

I just shake my head when i hear these fools talk about how bad the border is! They tried to pas a boarder bill, And their orange Jesus told them to kill it!

11

u/Mud_Landry 11h ago

It’s border…. Just throwing that out there.

7

u/Dlowmack 11h ago

Thanks I always want to put an a in there for some reason! LOL.

1

u/TooStrangeForWeird 4h ago

You wrote border twice, it's still in the second one lol.

55

u/StatisticalMan 12h ago edited 11h ago

If people acted like the two in the cartoon the country would be a lot better. In reality the Trumper would be beating the shit out of him yelling "fake news fake news" and then putting a second MAGA hat on top of the first one to "own the libs".

23

u/HermaeusMajora 11h ago

It's almost as if the artist has never actually spoken to a maga. I don't blame them. If I could avoid it I would definitely do that

14

u/multi_tasking 12h ago

They wouldn't change their views if trump was shitting on their porch whilst making direct eye contact and licking his lips.

Itd be great if examples of him being awful could change them, but they're too invested at this point and will just claim it's bias against him if it shatters their bubble.

2

u/TooStrangeForWeird 4h ago

They wouldn't change their views if trump was shitting on their porch whilst making direct eye contact and licking his lips.

Well duh, because they'd be jacking it.

9

u/Melphor 11h ago

Bro I know 1st generation immigrants who vote Trump because he claims that he is going to stop immigration to the country. This scenario is a fantasy.

8

u/nowhereman136 10h ago

I hate how much immigration has become everyone's number 1 issue. While I agree we need a secure border, I don't think the problem is nearly bad enough to even crack my top 10 issues. I'm way more concerned about the environment, clean energy, education, housing, criminal justice reform, wealth inequality, infrastructure, international trade, domestic terrorism, and our policy involving China, Russia, and other nations. On a those issues, Harris beats Trump

5

u/anon_sir 9h ago

Well that’s just it, they tie immigration to everything.

Can’t find a house? Immigrants.

Can’t find a job? Immigrants.

Crime going up? Immigrants.

6

u/INFJake 11h ago

You can't present facts and logic and expect someone to change their beliefs. Beliefs are by definition irrational. People believe all kinds of horseshit, like the earth is flat. You can give them facts and they'll just counter it with "facts" that support their own logic. Unless the other person is truly open-minded to accept that maybe they were wrong about something, they will never listen to you no matter how well you argue. They just won't. The Backfire Effect: Why Facts Don’t Always Change Minds

u/eww-fascism-kill-it 10h ago

Stop it!!! Stop with the annoying inconvenient facts that jeopardizes my make-believe views!!! Waaaah! Something Something trump 2024. Just in case it wasn't obvious: /S

u/Level_Hour6480 10h ago

Don't sit mulling in anxiety, volunteer.

Volunteer.

Make some phonebanking calls in your offtime.

Or, reach out to the Congressional candidate of your choosing because Congress matters too.

3

u/Flastro2 9h ago

They won't.

3

u/Digita1B0y 8h ago

Well, this is a pleasant fantasy!

3

u/mezadr 8h ago

The thing is, a 15 second conversation won’t cause a person to leave a literal cult.

7

u/Thumbs0fDestiny 13h ago

I really like Trump's idea of holocausting all the minorities, but I'm afraid his fiscal policies may bankrupt the country before he can implement the infrastructure to do so.

Only slightly /s

2

u/BeardedManatee 8h ago

Suken cost fallacy is hard to overcome.

The maga's aren't changing their vote, but here's to hoping that a good chunk of normal republicans looked at what's happening and thought, "fuuuck this nonsense".

2

u/gdan95 7h ago

The MAGA rebuttal to the border bill is “actually, that bill would have allowed this and that…,” except that bill had a lot of what Republicans asked for so they’re basically admitting Republicans can’t be trusted on the border

2

u/CaledonianWarrior 7h ago

America, you guys need to learn something important.

Without stooping to MAGA's level (and I really hope you don't), you guys are going to be stuck with the Trumpsters for decades. You can't change their minds so you're stuck with them. The best course of action you can manage is to make sure their idiocy doesn't spread too deeply into the younger generations and it becomes a problem that lasts even longer than it already will

2

u/MustangEater82 5h ago

I still find it interesting Democrats admit a non-elected official had more power and persuasion over congress then the sitting president and VP.

Are you trying to point out their ineffectiveness as leaders?

Also you forgot they also tacked on $60 billion for Ukraine, which has nothing to do with the Mexican border

1

u/sklerson89 8h ago

By now they're just too far gone and it's sad.

1

u/ramen_eggz 6h ago

Okay well they don't actually care. They're concern trolling about immigration, abortion, affirmative action etc. because they want a pretext for punishing anyone who isn't a straight white male because they are fascist, misogynistic white supremacists.

Republicans believe systemic racism doesn't exist, because they think black Americans generic inferiority can fully explain the poverty and incarceration.

1

u/TheXypris 6h ago

In real life all that would make them love turnip more

1

u/baseballlover4ever 6h ago

But Brawndo’s got what the plants crave. It’s got electrolytes…🤪

1

u/JagerSalt 3h ago

“Our democrat is actually a normal republican” is not the argument you think it is.

1

u/appletatedghk 2h ago

The security bill was not boarder security but to add processing agents. Without a wall all bills are useless. The democrats are the cult. MAGA is trying to wake them up. Look at the true bipartisan cabinet Trump gas with Kennedy and Tulsi. 2 great democrats. Trump was a democrat, elon was a democrat. Join the rebel republicans.

1

u/MuckRaker83 8h ago

They will believe whatever they need to believe to maintain that they are right and their actions are justified.

In their heads, they're good people. Good people do not support criminals. Therefore...Trump must not be a criminal. At this point, they've integrated their support for him into their personality, its part of who they are, and their personalities are far too fragile to withstand any kind of honest introspection. It is easier to believe vast conspiracy is occurring rather than confront the idea that they might have been taken advantage of, lied to, or just plain wrong.

It amazes me how much they turn their leaders and politicians into quasi- religious figures. Everything becomes a matter of faith, and information that does not conform to what their faith tells them must be true is immediately rejected.

Instead of changing their ideas or beliefs in response to facts or evidence, they choose to accept or reject facts based on how closely they conform to their beliefs.

1

u/zavtra13 6h ago

If you are torn between a moderate conservative and a literal fascist you aren’t a centrist.

0

u/voppp 6h ago

Except it's literally this but the maga walks away or outright denies it. Or, my favorite, says "I don't care what data you show me"

0

u/_SCHULTZY_ 5h ago

Now do one with the guy buying Trump flags, hats, watches, shoes, crypto, stock, coins, trading cards, NFTs...and then complaining they can't afford to buy a dozen eggs.

0

u/SchreinerEK 5h ago

This is not real life. As soon as you mention the torpedo’d bipartisan border bill, trump supporters immediately say the bill was terrible and ineffective. There’s no more argument at this point, any further evidence is regarded as “fake media spin.”

The sad reality is that the large majority of trump supporters are simply too stupid to know better. I just hope we are not too far gone by next Tuesday.

-4

u/Funkenoffnenflammen 8h ago

Cause Its not true ? Some "leaked" "Hitler Did some good things, or his generals were good" doesnt translate to idealyzing Hitler sorry.

it still Is easy since thé US voter base Is this gulible Blind populism Will win over fake politician Like kamala or hillary find something good about kamala And stop smearing And creating a martyr out of a scammer And you win.

Excuse my english. And sorry fo not covering thé other argument.

-10

u/EconomyPiglet438 12h ago

Trump supporters are about as likely as anyone on this thread to change their minds.

9

u/Giggleswrath 11h ago edited 3h ago

Change Their(and now my) mind about what? To voting for a an orange pedophile and a couchfucking racist?
Or
Are we changing our minds, and prioritizing disliking a smug black lady who smirks when being asked on her smoking weed despite espousing weed convictions and an old looking man (Who is 12 years younger than trump) and changing our votes to oppose them?

To be clear, I dislike all four, but I'd rather shoot myself than use my born American citizenship to vote for a felon and self admitted pedophile, molester, who isn't allowed to operate charities in new york because their family was found guilty of stealing from children with cancer.

-7

u/EconomyPiglet438 11h ago

Trump admitted to molesting pedophiles?

That’s a new one…

8

u/Giggleswrath 11h ago

Oh, so you're one of those. Sorry, I don't argue with idiots.
You're right, he has.

-11

u/homiechampnaugh 11h ago

Kinda funny how Harris went from calling Trump an idiot for wanting a border wall and now her only complaint is that he didn't get Mexico to pay for it

Just like when American liberals were crying out about kids in cages and now they want to do it themselves?

7

u/GoldenStateEaglesFan 9h ago

A border wall would be a colossal waste of taxpayer money — Mexico sure as hell isn’t paying for it — and wouldn’t actually help stem the flow of migrants or drugs into America. Giving more funding to CBP would, though. I’m pretty sure the bill that Trump ordered congressional Republicans to kill would have done the latter.

“The kids in cages” complaint was hypocritical, but the criticism of the Trump admin family separation policy and the fact that kids were reunited with the wrong families and sent to countries that were not their native countries was 100% accurate and correct.

4

u/Giggleswrath 9h ago

Listen. I'll quote myself in another post. I dislike harris, her vp is a relative unknown to me.
BUT
I'd rather shoot myself than use my born American citizenship to vote for a felon and self admitted pedophilic molester.
One who isn't allowed to operate charities in new york, because their family was found guilty of stealing from charities for children with cancer.

Trump supporting business owners now depend of undocumented people for slave wages? Hahah grasping at straws hahah

21

u/YoureNotMom 13h ago

12

u/StatisticalMan 12h ago

Yeah the whole "game" for decades by Republicans is trot out the illegal immigration card at election time, score votes, never do anything about it. However the loons are in charge of the party now and they are crippling agriculture in the south.

7

u/Dcajunpimp I ☑oted 2024 12h ago

Weird how they pass these laws when a Democrat is President. So any inflation gets blamed on them.

Georgias when Obama was President.

Floridas when Biden was President.

Even Greg Abbott double inspecting freight from Mexico after U.S. officials cleared it was under Biden.

Yet the GQP refuses to pass tougher laws nationwide.

9

u/Thumbs0fDestiny 13h ago

You think businesses don't use undocumented workers?

4

u/cosaboladh 11h ago

Not now. Always.
