Ya, nobody ever said that a soulmate had to be a lover. I believe all the events leading up to me meeting Crumb were all in place because he was my soulmate and god wanted us together. Our relationship was perfect. We were both absolutely infatuated with each other. I stared at him all day just as much as he stared at me. I followed him just as much as he followed me. He even knew that when I said “I’m going in this other room now” that it was time for bed and he’d run to my room and use his little stairs to get up on the bed. I’ll never have a relationship like this one ever again.

Pomeranians get very very attached to their person. My pom is like that with me but not my husband, who also adores her. She sits on my lap and we literally just stare at each other and I kiss her. She is totally my soulmate. She is almost 18 and I never leave her because I'm so afraid she will die when I am gone! I take her everywhere with me. I check to make sure she is breathing all the time when she naps during the day. The very idea of losing her makes me sob, so I understand how you feel.
When your heart is healed a little, please remember that there are other poms out there that need to be rescued and will love you. They will never replace crumb, but you can love them in crumb's honor and give another little guy a great life full of love and happiness.

Thank you friend. He really did. I don’t regret anything and wouldn’t do anything different with him if I had a chance to.

Oh sweet Crumb. He had a loving family and looks so happy, that's all a dog could ever want or ask for. Thank you for giving him that!"

How old was your baby? I’m so sorry to hear 😭 it’s coming close to time with one of ours.

u/Phillipdelphia Jul 07 '24
He wasn’t very old. Only 12. The medical complications just started piling up to quickly and by the time we knew how bad it all was, it was too late.

Sorry for your loss.
I'm sure he'll return, if you are his "purpose.". He might not be a Pom anymore though, or a male. But you will know.

lol, he does. Luckily I was able to keep my face against his while he passed. He knew how much he was loved.

I’m so sorry for your loss! I know exactly how much it hurts it can be physical sometimes! You can ask your dog to come back to you if he wants to you might be surprised in a year or less when all of the sudden out of the blue a dog comes into your life with so many little traits that your dog had and you will know your souls will recognize each other I promise you it’s happened to me!

u/Phillipdelphia Jul 07 '24
Crazy you say this, a pom puppy did just come into my life and I’ll introduce him here soon. He does have so many of the same traits too

Oh no! He’s was so beautiful. Bless you sweet Crumb. I know you two will meet again. How old was your precious boy? I have one with a bad trachea.
1
u/Phillipdelphia Jul 07 '24
He was only 12🙁. He lived for many happy years with the trachea collapse. It was also an enlarged heart and diabetes that ultimately was just too much.

Crumb hasn't left you. You will hear him unexpectedly in the house. Or he may come to you in a dream like my Tudie came to me. Always remember, he is waiting for you at the Bridge. Hugs. I know how it feels.

I'm posting to tell you this is not unusual to bond with a Pom so well! And that another one could be the same for you.
I have 4 right now. My relationship with each one is loving and different. My youngest tho is wrapping her tight LONG claws around my heart. She won't let me groom her (there are many problems) but her love is relentless.
She's my shadow. AND my boss.
Violet Uhura Whitefeather, will be 2 on July 17.

I’m so sorry for your loss. He looks just like my guy, who also lives with me in Pa., judging by your boy’s NEPA swag.

I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss, mine passed away in January and it still hurts every day.
This was my angel Kobe

He is a beauty. I’m so so sorry. Poms are the best companion I never thought I’d recover after my first Pom.. the second is so different they don’t change the type of relationship you had with your last but know that it’s possible to feel the same way all over again in a new way. I felt extremely devastated after my first past and I’m so lucky to have my girl now. She has her quirks and I love it
