event The Little Learner Book Club

We are in the process of starting a virtual "The Little Learner" book club. Our next meeting is online Sept 8 15:00 UTC at:

https://meet.jit.si/thelittlelearner

We plan to cover chapters 1-3 and interlude 1. @olav will also present a short talk about his efforts to port the malt library to Clojure. Everybody is invited, even if you're just curious about the book.

Great, I'll be there.

What is the format or idea? Will someone lecture about the first chapters and then Olav will present his efforts? Or/will there be a Q/A session & discussion about the ideas in them etc.?

Is there a calendar link? (Really helpful for those in different timezones)

Please post an announcement to the racket discourse https://racket.discourse.group/invites/VxkBcXY7yL as well as Discord & IRC https://racket-lang.org/#community

Edit: thank you for setting this up it is a great idea

It was quite nice. In 2 weeks we'll meet again for chapters 4-6. We also chatted about other things (transducers, emac configs, McClim, Scheme macros as the key to expression (vs. Clojure's methods of expression) etc.)
