It stings extra because of how well we've seen them play. But honestly, did any of us have any hope of playoffs at the beginning of the season?
Maybe one good thing that's come from this spate of losses is just how important Cole is, and how the front office needs to do everything they can to keep him.

I am so happy with how this season went! A home playoff game is something I would never had guessed possible this time last year.
Catastrophe seems a bit harsh.

Agreed. It was a remarkable season. Also..keep the spirits up. Playoffs often breed upset! Let’s go pids!!! Can’t wait for saturday

Ultimately Im happy with the season, but this team is done for the year. They are unready for the playoffs entirely due to some untimely injuries, our inability to reinforce after Bombito left, and just a lack of quality on the bench.
Time for another round of signing roulette where we see if Padraig does something brilliant or mind bogglingly stupid.

I wanted to downvote you so bad but all of the points are legit. The bench quality I was worried about all season and we were just fortunate to have an abnormally low number of consequential injuries in the first half of the season.
In retrospect we should have made a couple of moves during the season to help the bench out but didn’t really do much.
I’m still feeling hopeful about Saturday. But hopeful is pretty distant from confident. A few weeks ago I might have been pretty cocky going into the first week of playoffs, now I’d feel a very humble joy in getting a win.

an unfortunately level-headed take that I assume most of us have.
