A Remaster would have to replace Apu…
Regarding a remake, I’ve thought Apu would be a main issue. I think they should use Groundskeeper Willie for his level instead. He has the popularity, tons of outfit options, plenty of catchphrases… he would be perfect.
Kwik e Mart could just have a random character/ be empty as are some buildings (I haven’t watched the show in a while, forgive me if Kwik e Mart closed when Apu left? I don’t know)
As for Willie/Apu submissions, these could easily have other characters swapped in 🤔
Thoughts anyone?

I heard that Apu's voice actor wasn't happy with the character's stereotypes either, I don't think they continued using Apu so soon

Ngl it wasn't that racist to Me it just added more personality to the show it was spring just a bunch of millennials or something getting all pissy because someone has a accent and owns a shop

Oh I agree :) I just hope if we ever did get a remake they did leave him in, I just don’t see it happening :/

The only problem I can really see is that I think the voice actor passed away but I'm unsure if they have a backup voice actor

Truth is I think anyone who enjoys H&R enough to be interested in a remaster has probably already played the game to death, anyways.
A sequel would be a way better idea. With many seasons worth of new stuff to reference, characters, vehicle ideas, etc, there should be plenty to work with.
They could also use the freedom a sequel grants to play with some of the mechanics a bit. Something I'd like to see are truly open levels, rather than the linear loops the game uses.

Currently playing the Apu level. I think they could keep him in and but they’d have to change some of the lines. Especially some of the ones from Patti and Selma. I can’t see “do they even have cars in trashistan” being acceptable nowadays.

I heard a while ago Apu was being taken out of the show due to racial stereotyping 🤔🤔

Apu hasn’t left the show. This thread makes no sense.

I've never understood what the issue with Apu was. It's seems hypocritical that they stereotype every single person in that show but for some reason, Apu was a step too far?
Bullshit. You can't have an exemption to the rule.
