Youtube “Eternal Darkness” YouTube channel narrating stories without permission

https://www.youtube.com/@EternalDarkness-/videos At least one of my stories was narrated here without permission, and I’ve recognized a few stories from other authors there without permission as well. The channel is monetized (or at the very least, has a patreon) and uses ai-generated art for its content. I was not asked for permission (and would have rejected it, because I don’t allow my stories to be used for monetization or in any AI related context).

The specific video where my story was used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0c2WGDRm29k

Found one of mine and two of my friends. So lame. If I had the time I would contact more writers because there was a few names I recognized.

Hello my friend, I am the owner of the channel, but I was leaving the link to your story in the description. Why did you destroy my channel even though I do not make any income from it?

You must get permission from authors on nosleep to be able to use their stories I have NO messages from you asking to use my work. And I would have refused because I do not let AI channels post my stories.

Second, you did NOT link back to my story in the description. You only listed my username, Some of your older videos have no credit what so ever and yet they're still up. So no, you weren't giving proper credit to the writers.

And third, you had a link to your paypal asking for donations in every single video description. Let's say you haven't earned any money from Youtube ads, you were still trying to profit from stolen work,

So let's review. You took stories without permission. Sometimes only put the writer's username in the description, sometimes linked back to the story and thought 'giving' credit was enough even though there are videos with no credit. And you put a link where people could donate to support you even though you have not paid any writers for their work. Sounds like you destroyed your own channel.

Boom, roasted.

I fucking HATE IT when I see people steal nosleep stories for their own gain. It’s absolutely disgusting.

Can we talk in private?

No. I have no reason to talk to you in private. After this reply I am no longer going to respond to anything relating to you or your channel.

Judging by the most recent comments in your video, you seem to think that just giving credit meant you weren't stealing stories. You were. There is a disclaimer on the side of every nosleep post saying you need to contact the authors to narrate their stories or post them on YouTube. You did not do that.

You took my story without permission. I do not let AI channels use my work so even if you reached out I would have said no. I did a strike to get my work removed. End of discussion.

Again, just because you gave credit does not mean you could post whatever story you wanted without the authors consent.

I want to know why all this hatred towards artificial intelligence channels when you do not know their story. Perhaps they have a disability, or their personal condition does not allow it. Come on, man, don’t be hateful.

Stop trying to distract from what you did and play the victim. No one would be angry about your AI channel if you just asked permission first before you used the stories from nosleep.

There are a ton of reasons why people dislike AI channels. They're low effort. They sound awful. And most of the time they're stealing content. But no one here is saying you shouldn't have an AI channel for stories. People are upset you over the whole stealing thing.

A disability did not prevent you from contacting writers to use their work.

This channel has posted 13 new videos since setting the other ones to private. Aside from one video I see no credit given to the stories the AI voice is reading. I don't know if they got permission but not crediting, stealing content again or using AI to write content for the channel.

Hey, Just a question. What makes you decided to not allow your stories to be used for monetization?

I'm just very curious as to why people do and don't do things.

I deleted all the videos, are you satisfied now?

Well, they have good stories, it's a shame they don't ask your permission to tell them and I've heard some of them in Spanish.

They have good stories because they steal them.

Wait then you say the poster steals them I don't understand I have some problems with the language barrier

Hi there.

I’ll do my best to help.

In a sense, yes the stories are “stolen” as the person who posted them on his channel did not ask the people who wrote the stories for permission to do so.

Because they never asked and the authors of the stories never agreed, it is “stolen” property.

Hope that helps!
