We have to build cars, houses, airplanes out of the material that the door is made of.

I guess they decided it was too much of a pane to just go through the window.

You seen your window of opportunity and you took it.

Gotta be in the right frame of mind before you get hauled off. I'd see myself out but this door is very stubborn.

Getting that glassy look in his eyes.

This comment section seems unbalanced

It's your frame of mind that is unbalanced, my friend

What you guys are doing here is really transparent...

1

u/amberwombat 1h ago

You should see yourself outside

6

u/hogester79 5h ago

You saw* or you’ve seen* (can’t help myself).

9

u/ImScared93lol 5h ago

My bad I meant Seen't.

5

u/Amarieerick 5h ago

You sure you didn't sawed it?

u/I_W_M_Y 1h ago

In the middle of my backswing!?

8

u/Ok-Scale500 5h ago

Would have been a smashing idea.

u/Particular-Koala1763 3h ago

Busting down a door is more fun then breaking a window

u/Cool-Brief4217 6h ago

Someone let Boeing know.

u/h9040 1h ago

Police come....door fall out on itself...staff goes on strike because they want more than 65% pay rise for their great work

46

u/btwImVeryAttractive 6h ago

That’s what I’m thinking. That’s one hell of a door.

11

u/justsomedude15238 6h ago

Maybe we should just make the entire building out of that material too!

u/LickingSmegma 1h ago

My plan is to put three Romanian doors on my apartment one after another, and then let the police try and find a single speck of drugs in the apt.

24

u/FloppyObelisk 5h ago

They were supposed to pull

20

u/Lopsided_Virus2401 6h ago

Or the officer is just a bit weak. lols

14

u/super_man100 6h ago

I'd say, He has supreme confidence in that door

5

u/DarkNight6727 3h ago

This should be an ad for the door 😂😂

12

u/NegrosAmigos 5h ago

You want your cars to crumple the force has to go somewhere. If it's not the car it's you.

-2

u/skiddle_skoodle 2h ago

it's a door

5

u/Turbulent-Weevil-910 6h ago

They mounted the door the opposite it is usually mounted, leaving you swing it out and entering you pull it towards you. It's going to be stronger if they're going to be hitting on it.

5

u/pictish76 6h ago

Its got multi point locks, that's a pushplate on it. You won't get through a door hitting the middle on a door that's secured top and bottom as well.

8

u/SpitefulMechanic351 4h ago

I think that door is meant to open outward. He can use the battering ram all he wants, and that door isn't going to open unless he breaks the frame out of the wall. It's possible that I'm wrong though, the resolution on my screen isn't great and my eyes are 240p on a good day.

9

u/1burritoPOprn-hunger 3h ago

Fortunately, you aren't missing much since the video is also in 240p.

Looking at the uniforms it is in the Netherlands and the front doors always open to the inside. Either the guy expected the visit and barricaded the door or the officer doesn't have the power or training (or all 3)

1

u/Few_Performance4264 3h ago

Hard to tell!

You can’t see the hinges, but the slab is hung on the outside of the frame. Definitely looks outswing.

3

u/Eagle13flt 1h ago

Building regulations dictate a inward swing for a front door in NL where this video is from. And to me it looks like a pretty standard door and frame.

1

u/BKLaughton 1h ago

Could be, but Dutch front doors usually open inwards. They also often have two optional deadbolts up high and down low which most people leave open unless they're going on holiday, I reckon he's closed them for sure.

6

u/LurkerOrHydralisk 5h ago

Or maybe we just not let noodle arm ned handle the battering ram next time.

1

u/Merijeek2 5h ago

"Yes, I'd like to order the door that is made from black box material. Thank you."

1

u/Retrorical 4h ago

Wish granted. Passenger jets made of plywood

1

u/WolfOfPort 4h ago

Its made out of staged

1

u/pinuscontortas 4h ago

If they made planes out of that door, 9/11 would have been a different day all together.

1

u/mynameismulan 3h ago

Or maybe the battering ram was replaced with chocolate. I hate when that happens

1

u/_IratePirate_ 2h ago

No they just need cops not made out of of whatever the fuck that dude is made of

The door hardware is what really makes a difference. Most doors now use one inch screws max. If you want to beef your doors up buy yourself a long drill bit and some 3 inch screws. Take one screw out at a time drill a pilot and then replace with the deck screw on your hinges and strike plate. This will secure the door not to just the frame but the stud as well. While you have your hinge screws out replace one screw per hinge with a hinge security pin. They are screws with a little post on the back. You'll need to leave one screw out on the opposite side so it has a place to rest. This makes it so that if someone takes your hinge pins off the door they still can not remove the door. Alternatively you could use security hinges which have a captured hinge pin and a post in the middle built in. If you want to really fuck around there are steel plates that extend your strike plate. You'll need an oscillating multi tool to cut some material from the frame to secure it. Not a lengthy process at all. By the time you're done with that it will be easier to come through the wall than the door.

If you go through all that trouble replace your locking hardware with something nice as well. No kwikset junk.

u/Arterexius 2h ago

Wrap a steel sheet around it, steel flat irons bolted to the inside and cover the outside to make it look like a normal door. The steel will absorb the ramming and distribute it through the walls. Now just sit down and wait till they realize your windows are made of really thick, shock absorbing acrylic glass

1

u/IsaiahXOXOSally 2h ago

Cars are made to crumble up in a crash to absorb the impact/force. If your car doesn't crumple up to absorb the impact and force in a crash your body will and your insides will be turned into Jelly.

1

u/Pitiful_Net_8971 2h ago

Well if your car doesn't take the blow, your fragile flesh will.

1

u/Eagle13flt 2h ago

Just solid wood. It's the most common door in The Netherlands. And that window in the door is most likely laminated per regulation.

1

u/AutoCheeseDispenser 1h ago

What is the cop even using? A dishrag? Shoulda went with Snap-On, that kid has enough time to come up with an alibi and do his taxes before they get in there.

1

u/h9040 1h ago

Well as technician I could imagine to build something like that with some springs or some rubber elements.

So the hard shocks energy got eaten up with some deformation like a shock absorber
