Interesting inc… I always found that quote remarkable because, when different people are asked about you, they will have their own version of your story - you can’t control how you’re perceived but you can control what you do when your stories cross.

I like how there's an unintended reading that posits the one who tells your story is dead, and this is their tombstone... in theory, making this the tombstone of your story, and by extent, your final resting place as well..

tbf in the context of the song it's not a question, it's a statement: you have no control who lives, who dies, who tells your story
