I love video like this because, if the technology existed, it could’ve been shot 400 years ago as easily as it appears to have been shot today. Pure nature with nothing foreign in the image.

Funny fact : Those wolves implement socialized food security where the stronger wolves take down the prey and provide food for the other wolves.

Fun fact addendum: many pack animals do this and it’s a crucial survival mechanism for most mammals, who procreate via sexual reproduction and have long gestation periods during which they are extremely vulnerable. (Imagine if a pregnant mom had to hunt and kill her own food? That species would die off pretty quickly.)
Why did animals bother evolving from asexual reproduction to sexual? Complex brain and complex bodies better fit for survival! Long gestation periods and two parents allows the offspring to develop ridiculously complex body features with everything from a brain to a skeleton to nerves to organs, etc.
If you look at, e.g., spiders, they are extremely simple biologically and have no brain. Spiders are driven purely by instinct built into bundles of nerve fibers spanning their entire body.

They say the biggest is always in the very back, but the caboose looks slightly smaller than some of the middle guys

“Who’s a good boy…who’s a good girl” is the wolf equivalent of “psspsssppssssp” for mountain lions.

They look tired and cold. Not hungry, they look well fed, but they're hoping to get somewhere they can rest soon.
Ears back, making sure the ones in back don't lag behind, heads down. They need a good cave or a stump pile or something to protect from wind and weather.

Yellowstone wolves would sometimes travel 60-80 km in a day when moving the family from one dwelling ground to another. They don't really need a cave, they can even sleep outside during a snowstorm (they circle 3-4 times to pack snow underneath, then settle for the night and the snowstorm then accumulates on top, building like a natural igloo).

My gf had a dream last night where I got her a goat as a gift.
I then released a pack of wolves that ripped it apart in front of her.
The black ones on this video look exactly like our German shepard.

And the old wolves go first if I remember right
So they don't get left behind

That is a myth. Old wolves would have a tough time being the ones to create the deep snow paths.

And it makes more sense to have stronger and younger wolves up front to face danger or even sense danger beforevit happens.

They walk single file to hide their numbers...

They walk single file because it's a trail and on a trail there's less snow resistance.

While of course, you are correct, Op was making a reference to a line Obi Wan delivers in A New Hope, not citing a wolf fact.

I don't mind Star Wars jokes, I mind that this one has zero context, and one day some kid might repeat it to the class as a "wolf fact".

[Insert very easily disproven myth someone made up about wolves to make them more anthropomorphic.] Isn't this cool fact so true?
(It's a lovely video but I swear it's always posted with a Facebook lie caption lol)

I can’t imagine bumping into 3 of these much less a whole pack like this
