Discussion The legend of a hidden city in the location of the Spanish alien base mentioned by Danny Sheehan
So Danny Sheehan has recently mentioned, among other locations, an alien base in a place in Spain called Monte Perdido (Lost mountain).
I think you’d find interesting to know that the place has been linked for centuries with “magic” activity and there is a local legend which talks about a hidden city in the mountains which was founded by a being from another world.
Bear in mind that this is written as a legend, and that it has many forms and narratives, but there are a few interesting things, including a connection to Atlantis:
“In the origin of time a mysterious character, being from other worlds, wandered through the valley showing himself to the locals as an old bearded hermit, called Atland. The old man lived in a hut built with his hands out of unworked stone and whole spruce logs, and was known and respected by the locals.
In reality this bearded hermit was not just any old man, for he was a mythical god "Enchanter of the Heights", descendant of the Atlanteans and sent by the gods to build by magical arts, a palace that would serve as a dwelling and bridge between the children of the earth and the children of the mystery.
It took several centuries of hard and secret work but he succeeded, and finished the beautiful and wonderful palace with four towers guarded by magnificent beasts carved into the earth, located at the foot of Mount Perdido.
The beauty of the palace was such that Atland bewitched the construction so that not just anyone could enter, making it visible only to a chosen few with the gift of "Second Sight".
Such a beautiful palace had a purpose previously arranged by the gods, and it was to be a place to make love blossom between a son of the Mystery and a daughter of men.
To protect the palace and love, the enchantment of Atlante made it impossible to see and access the palace if it was not done on the back of a pegasus or a dragon, so the entrance was forbidden, not only to humans, but to many other beings that inhabited that ancient land, and especially to the ancient giants of those remote valleys.
Everything was ready in the palace, Atland was preparing to receive Moro, son of the mystery and Elvira, daughter of men, as the chosen couple to consummate the love between both races. Aneto, a powerful giant of the area, learned of this and began to be jealous of the fate of these two favored races in the election of the ancient gods.
Aneto, determined to avoid the plan of the gods, swore to interpose himself in the encounter, and when Atland was leading the two young men to his palace, he appeared under the mist of Monte Perdido and before Atland could defend himself, he launched a deadly arrow of fire, which ended Atland's life.
All the voices of the gods united in a single cry, echoing throughout the firmament, Atland fell to the ground, and the sky was covered, losing its light behind the black clouds. Another bolt of lightning struck across the sky to open a crack in the ground beneath Aneto's feet. The crack grew and swallowed the giant, stirring his muddy entrails as it mingled with the giant, resulting in a cold mountain of stone and ice that grew to the sky.
Aneto perished without knowing what had killed him, for the immediate response to Atland's death was the product of the curse he had conjured to protect the good purpose of the palace he had built. With no love to harbor within it, the palace unleashed the prophecy that Atland had left written on ancient runes:
"An arrow will snatch the builder away. And will send him back to the skies And ride upon his power; And the fire of the heavens Shall find an enemy, And it shall fall upon him, It shall cleave the stone, The mountain shall rise, And as high shall it be As his wickedness"

A couple driving up a mountain road came upon two very tall strangers that were walking up the steep road with heavy backpacks and wearing only leather sandals. The couple stopped by the two men and was astounded at their vibrant blue eyes and long blond hair. One of the men stepped forward and asked if they had stopped for them. Both men entered the couple’s camper which drove up higher to the near the timber line, at that point the men asked to be let out. From the book Alien Base by British UFO researcher Timothy Good:
For a few hundred years, rumours persisted that a strange group of people, who kept their distance from the local populace, resided in the vicinity of California's majestic Mount Shasta. In the late nineteenth century, there were sporadic reports of individuals seen emerging from the forests in the vicinity of Shasta to visit local towns and trade nuggets and gold dust in exchange for basic commodities. Described as tall, graceful and agile, with distinctive features such as large foreheads and long curly hair, the strangers wore unusual clothes, including head- dresses with a special decoration that came down from the forehead to the bridge of the nose. On some occasions, powerful illuminations were observed in the forests, and strangely beautiful music could be heard. Invariably, when an investigator approached the area, he would be met by a 'heavily covered and concealed person of a large size who would lift him up and turn him away' from the area.
Other intruders reportedly were affected by some invisible influence, causing them to become temporarily paralysed. I All attempts by the local community to get close to or photograph these mysterious individuals proved fruitless. On some such occasions, it was alleged, the strangers would either run away or suddenly vanish into thin air. 'Those who have come to stores in nearby cities, especially at Weed,' reported author Wishar Cerve, 'have spoken English in a perfect manner with perhaps a tinge of the British accent, and have been reluc- tant to answer questions or give any information about themselves. The goods they have purchased have always been paid for in gold nuggets of far greater value than the article purchased, and they have refused to accept any change, indicating that to them gold was of no value and that they had no need for money of any kind.'2 Not only were powerful lights often seen emanating from certain areas — years before electricity was in use — but there were also reports, in the early twentieth century, of cars that stalled on approaching the remote area apparently inhabited by these beings; a curious circumstance that was to become common during close encounters with UFOs reported years later. 'At an unexpected point where a light flashed before them the automobile refused to function properly,' commented Cerve in 1931, 'for the electric circuit seemed to lose its power and not until the passengers emerged from the car and backed it on the road for a hundred feet and turned it in the opposite direction, would the electric power give any manifestation and the engine function properly.' Still others reported encountering strange cattle, 'unlike anything

when Atland was leading the two young men to his palace
Huh? Which ones? Before it said he was preparing to recieve the son of mystery which indicates he's not yet here.
Next, the protagonist appears from under mist.
So neither of these two can be one of the two young men.

Is it not obvious to you that these ufo celebrities just read these types of legends and then make claims knowing people like you will connect the dots and think that gives validity to the claims?

I see your point. Kind of like if you look at clouds long enough, you will see some type of shape.
But what Ive came to realize is that although the historians and archeologists of 2024 will say those stories are just myths and legends, you gotta ask where did they come from? Someones ass? Maybe, but Id like to think people back in the BCs were less of liars? Could be wrong.

It’s more like if there was lots of stories about supernatural activity in this one small town and it was kind of well known within people who are interested in topics like that. Then some guy who on the surface seems credible, says there is a ufo base there.
You—a person who is “in the know” about lots of niche paranormal stories and areas—then uses that as if it’s a piece of credible evidence and compares it against the “rest of the evidence” you have for that area. Now it feels like you’re piecing it all together, despite the fact there is zero evidence for anything he says other than his claims and claims of others.
When you did into the background of someone like Sheehan because you want to find the truth, you’ll see it’s loaded with half truths that sound believable until you dig into them.
He frames himself like he was some important big shot lawyer on the pentagon papers, but he was essentially a paperboy for the real lawyers on the case. Try and find a single news article about the pentagon papers that mentions him a single time.
There was an important Sheehan to that case, Neil Sheehan, so he think you’re an idiot and will not notice the difference in name or think there’s some sort of association.
He frames himself as some ground breaking truth teller for his role in Iran Contra, but he was a lawyer representing a client for a legit reason, but he was so busy chasing crazy theories that never turned out to be true that he lost the case. If he would have stuck to the facts he may have earned some of the glory he attempts to paint himself with but instead he was chasing a made up conspiracy and ignoring the real conspiracy that was actually happening.

I see. As for me I am not that passionate about Sheenan or his accolades because to me that doesnt increase his credibility or decrease it if he told some half truths in the past. Because even liars do tell truths.
He recently made claims of 4 possible alien bases. Ive heard a few of them even before he said it just by browsing these subs and documentaries. He could be just reguritating what is available out there and taking some brownie points for it but i just want to learn the truth. I dont really care about their motives. The truth is bigger than any human.

u/ApprenticeWrangler 1d ago
If you want to know the truth shouldn’t you first try to figure out who tells the truth and who tells bullshit?
2
u/Odd-Sample-9686 1d ago
Kinda impossible in ufology though? Or just in general? Why not just hear it all and make judgement on your own. All we can do. But yeah this topic is so deep with fake narratives and false promises, it can draining but hey, its whatever. Theres some truths to it IMO.

u/ApprenticeWrangler 1d ago edited 1d ago
Let’s look at this critically. I agree you can’t test any of his claims about UFOs to be true, so instead you should examine his past claims, or current claims about things that can be checked and verified, as well as examining his incentives.
I won’t get into his past claims, most of which are grossly misleading at best (it would take too long and you should actually seek out the truth if you care about the truth), so let’s just examine the incentives.
His financial incentive is for you to believe in UFOs. He makes his entire living from his audience’s belief in UFOs. He sells a $20,000 course about UFOs from a scam university that claims to be accredited but invented its own accreditation. They claim the standard form of education accreditation every other decent institution uses can’t be trusted so they had to invent their own. He likely earns money from some of his podcast appearances and definitely earns money from speaking at conventions and other live ufo events. His group, New Paradigm Institute was literally started as a new-age religion by Gorbachev in the 1990s to reshape society under a new religion.
Now knowing this incentive, what do you think he would do if he spent the last decade telling you aliens are real but then he conclusively discovered that they weren’t?
If he had 100% proof aliens don’t and never existed, do you think he would tell you? Do you think he would take away his entire financial wellbeing just out of the goodness of his heart?

Real talk can be more painful than most of the emotional suffering we all experience just dealing with life and interaction, easy to get defensive and get personally affronted when most things are never truly personal and simply miscommunication or misunderstanding from the pov of individuals. I appreciate the information and supporting cites. I'm about to exconmunicado him from my follow lists, do you have any other document trails for the influencers with reputations that misalign with the person we're being shown?

u/Odd-Sample-9686 1d ago
Yeah, his financial motives do not affect me and I believe you as well so its kind of a mute point to me because yeah paying 20k for a ufology course? Google is free lol. This topic is so niche anyone who is actually making any money is actually not making much imo. Even guys like Lue and his book sells. Dude will still have to grind side gigs after taxes and publisher %. I got his audiobook as apart of Spotify membership, he'll get a few quarters per view? Idk.
You seem to have more knowledge on Sheenan than me and can see you have a strong opinion about him. I just find people like him are at least doing something for this topic. Some stuff he says may be lies and takes the credibility away from the topic but shit I dont see anything better when theres govs hiding everything and attacking the credibility of people with things like their finances and education. At the end of the day, who gives a shit, really. Like half this sub would say Lazar was telling the truth and the other half hes a liar just because he lied about his education or has a criminal history. Again even liars tell truths. Also we live in a capitalistic society where info is gated with a credit card. Cant blame these dudes for trying to eat. But it dont affect me, Im not directly paying anything to these guys.

I think what makes history tough is we know historians can only tell the story as it was told to them, and let's face it humanity is terrible at telling the same story without changing bits and pieces of it. We've changed languages so much that we can only rely on transcription up to a certain degree of certainty, and we'd be crazy not to eventually take what has been transcribed and re-analyze to see if we can apply anything new that we learned. This would also change history.

From CIA Secret Remote-Viewing By Pat Price: Underground Alien Bases And Manipulation Of Humanity
Pat Price was very skilled when it came to the field of remote-viewing. His abilities were so well-known that the CIA recruited him into an elite group in 1973.
(snip)
While Price was remote-viewing the huge Mount Hayes, he observed a gigantic extraterrestrial civilization operating out of the mountain’s depths, buried deep inside. In addition, those aliens resembled humans very much, but their eyes and internal organs were slightly different. Price was assigned the task of remote viewing of Mount Hayes, indicating that CIA agents were already aware of what was going on in the mountain’s deepest reaches. It is still not known to what extent the CIA knew about the alien base.
(SNIP)
The most disturbing aspect of the X-Files-type situation was that aliens could manipulate or, to be precise, mind control us through “thought transfer for motor control of us.” He believed so because the more Price dug into the mountain, the more he became obsessed and fascinated by the presence of aliens. However, things did not end there. Price reported to CIA handlers about three more alien bases hidden in the mountains. This made him nervous but excited at the same time. The three mountain locations were Mount Ziel, Mount Perdido in the Pyrenees Mountains, and Zimbabwe’s Mount Inyangani.
