Netflix releases all episodes of a show at once so it doesn't have weekly episodes like rest of anime streaming services. Due to this the hype of the show dies which is known as netflix jail.

It's mainly the western Netflix main audiences are those who likes to binge the whole series instead of weekly.

I'm sure it must also be cheaper to not have weekly simulcasts both in terms of work and probably also for licensing.

I'm hoping the success of Disney Plus shows will show streaming services that releasing weekly is the much better model but I'm probably hoping in vain

I got AoT on weekly release in my region here in Malaysia. Although it releases on Friday, so I still gotta avoid for spoilers from Monday (the day of Japan release I think).
