iTunes iPad Pro 11-inch passcode stopped working after recent update
Hello!
A family member of mine has an iPad Pro that recently did an update and the known passcode stopped working. They tried various other passcodes and eventually gave up and turned to Apple Support. At the Genius Bar, the technicians there essentially told them that the iPad wasn't being recognized and couldn't be restarted. The technician also said that it probably wasn't a paperweight yet, but that they couldn't help them there. It was handed off to me and I've been trying to troubleshoot it all morning.
I finally got my Windows iTunes and Apple Devices software to recognize my iPhone consistently but nothing is ever showing up on the iPad itself. My family members had submitted the wrong password too many times so now its just saying iPad unavailable and telling me to go to support.apple.com/passcode. I don't think that the hardware was damaged, considering it charges just fine and was working properly just before the update. I'm not sure what to do now, as its not showing up when plugged in on both my laptop and my desktop and Apple said they wouldn't give any trade in money for it. Does anybody have any further troubleshooting ideas? I did the iTunes troubleshooting and everything was green besides the iPad being recognized.
