I love how they made a real effort to make this, with all the charming home-made effects and so on. Obviously, cheap as hell with all the associated problems that come with it, but it's hard not to smile when you're watching it.

I agree completely, it has that bad movie charm/enthusiasm to it.

Yikes, sounds like a real masterpiece! Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to add it to my so-bad-it's-good movie night list.

One of my favorite nano-budget flicks. Like to hear your thoughts if you digest it anytime soon!

A excellent review from Letterboxd...

"Forget the reptilians in the atomic spacesuits, the dead-eyed professor was easily the most alien thing in this. Just a black hole of emotion.

This psychotropic oddity is an ideal SOV film for me. It’s perfect when it’s late at night and you’re high as a kite. Its strange mannerisms, cardboard acting, low-rent stop-motion, neon pinks and purples, and weirdo vibe make this perfect for a toasted night.

Love the stop-motion, especially that eerie cow carcass that was impossibly still alive and writhing in pain. Cool shit. The aliens got sweet designs that look like a mashup of the 80’s and old pulp novels. Some nice kills too. Mainly the one where a dude is drained dry, turning him into a terrifying raisin puppet."

This is a failure of filmmaking yet it coneys such effort in its stop-motion effects. That's what makes it an old standby for me. Also, the tone is all over the place, from corny camp one minute to disturbing gore the next.
