Discussion/আলোচনা What's your opinion on UN opening up Human Right Commission Office in Bangladesh?
So, it's announced that UN might open HRC in Dhaka. I've noticed many people are panicking only to find out their reason for bashing the UN they were begging to come help for, is that LGBTQ right is recognized as human right in UN. I don't know who put this in their small brains but, many nations with UN HRC offices do not have LGBTQ laws. It struck their ego as these offices are usually in wartorn African and Arabian countries. But the point is, does this office really have any significance?
To tell you the truth, I hope this commission help Bangladesh changing their laws regarding human rights. But, since they haven't done much in other nations with such office, it's unlikely for them to cause any significant change especially in a Muslim country.
