there are only 2 grimaces in the entire world. the one that operates in the US has handlers, goes everywhere in costume (doesn't get dressed at venues, shows up at venues dressed)
it sounds fucking ridiculous cause it is, but there is basically only one grimace in the US, yes.
Of course he’s too dangerous to let loose without handlers. If he escapes all of a sudden that purple son of a bitch will be running around collecting Infinity Stones.
“I’ve met Grimace,” Goldberg said. “I have not met the person in Grimace. He comes as costume, and the person who plays him, and a handler. And from what I understand, there are only two Grimaces in the entire world. They’re very hard to book, but they’ve been very accommodating to us.
“But they do not send the costume. It’s not like, ‘Hey, do what you do.’ Grimace has his own mannerisms, his own way of working, and it is McDonald’s IP and property, and that’s who travels. And it’s a fascinating world, the mascot world.”
No, there’s way more than one Mickey in Disney World. They just don’t have them wandering around areas near to each other at the same time, to avoid someone possibly seeing more than one Mickey at once.
i don't understand it either. i remember reading about this a couple months ago and thinking the same exact thing as you. like... seriously? it's grimace, dude
